Rated as one of the worst vacation destinations in the world of Sornieth, the Wyrmwound truly holds it horrible rating with pride. Being surrounded by the high cliffs of the Rotrock Rim, not a single inch inside is spared from the acrid smell and haze from the Filthy One.

Though some still dwell here, particularly those who don’t mind the threat of the virulent pools and denizens of the area. Dragon clans born and overly zealous to serve the Plaguebringer, one such clan has gone to great lengths for her blessings.

One such clan is simply known as Bloodsurge’s clan, due to her effort and leadership in holding and expanding her territory. Fortifications, strange towers and the reeking Perdiciun is in the middle of it, always guarded by flying dragons surveying the land for potential prey.

A curious wyrm might inspect this area, and quickly come to a conclusion;
The security in this place is terrible. The risk of verifying that theory is big, but how hard could it be to sneak away with something valuable?
There was only one way to find out.

And that was exactly what RaggedWings was thinking anyway as she lazily strolled through the wasteland.

Her crests bobbed up and down as she paced. Not getting close just yet. She was too busy forming a plan and combining it with the information she forced out of a poor blue dragon.

The hatchlings should be in the tunnels. Trying to make it into adulthood before getting devoured by the head of the clan- what was her name again? Bloodrush or Bloodsurge? That drunk ***** of a fae slurred his words. Whatever, it wasn't that important to her scheme anyway.

Yes, she could have gone to Rotten Hollows and snatched some eggs instead, it would be certainly less guarded but, 1) She didn't have time to raise somebody else's brat, and 2) She didn't have a guide to exploit and, let's be honest, WHO wants to wait that long?

Yes, she was a criminal mastermind. She took great pride in her ability to get herself out of every situation but unfortunately, Rotten Hollows is a gigantic maze. Any other day, it would be a fun challenge for her genius that needed constant entertainment. But, she wanted the hatchlings and wanted them NOW. So, one of the most feared dragons in the Plague soils it is.

She already knew none of the patrols could spot her dried blood-covered body from above. She was one with the scarred land as she sneaked towards the gigantic place. The cursed green eyes on the ground closed as she stepped over them towards her goal.

Getting rid of the guards waiting at the door was as easy as tossing some bones away from her and jumping them when they looked the other side. It was boring, really. After this was done, she could just visit one of the other territories and let their 'cops' catch her. Hmm, maybe the Arcane? Eh, they only used magic to keep the prisoners in. Would be a waste of her precious time. The shadow? Hell no, she didn't feel like dealing with vines. Maybe take the long trip and visit Light?

Her lips pulled into a cruel smirk at that thought as she roamed the halls. Peaking her head inside the Leachate where they brewed new diseases. With just a bolt, she was upside down. Keeping her wings close to her body, RaggedWings quickly made her way to the tunnels. Ignoring the blood going to her head, she leaped down from the ceiling. Landing on four claws with practiced ease.

None thought about looking up and saw her blood-covered footprints with the dents where her claws had gripped.

"Pathetic."

She sniffed the sickness in the air before diving right in with a joyful growl. Easly navigating the darkness, while her heat seeing pair of eyes scanned every corner. Looking for fresh hatchlings with the prettiest colors.

(Sorry I kinda tend to ramble a lot lol)

(Naw its very nice!)

The tunnels were not quite a maze, but being unfamiliar with the arms splitting off and unknown burrows, her best bet was to memorize the way back.
Though that should not be much of a challenge to RaggedWings.

Finding the hatchlings was not easy. Every passing minute was worrying, was there even anything there? She did spot local vermin and rats, and the smell of hatchlings certainly lingered in the air. None had appeared yet.

Eventually her heat vision caught the silhouette of a dragon. A spiral specifically, adult one it would seem. It was uncertain if it had spotted her, but it crawled into a crevice and was gone. Visually.

A possible guard, perhaps? Then the treasure had to be close.

RaggedWings licked her lips in anticipation. "Yes...YES"

So, they DID have some rebels trying to keep the hatchlings alive. Again, pathetic. If this gal, who they called their leader was so tough, why didn't she get rid of the so-called guards already?

She pinned her crests to her skull and pulled her chained wings close to her body before bolting to the opposite direction. Exactly where the spiral came from.

Of course, she didn't just assume the Spiral was a scout right away. The mirror didn't want confrontation yet, and, it was unimaginable that they kept all the hatchlings in the same place. Spreading them through the tunnels would be much clever to keep at least some of them alive. Helping them survive by letting some perish.

She ran and leaped with close to no sound, sometimes jumping from walls to walls to keep herself entertained.

Her mad dash abruptly stop when her heat vision saw a little, slightly cold lump curled up between piles of dirt. The little creature's scales were covered in the dirt too, trying to camouflage it. Maybe it would work on some dragons, sadly, not on a mirror.

She reeled back and huddled her legs under her body like a cat before pouncing on the unsuspecting hatchling. Snapping its neck between her jaws as crimson blood splattered onto her body. What a shame, the thing didn't even scream.

She hung the body to the chains by the barely holding neck and pressed them close to her body again. Only taking a second to admire the fresh blood dripping under her wings to her body before dashing again.

Looking for more.

There was barely any echo throughout the tunnels at all. Still she could hear the way distant scream of someone unfortunate far away.
Hatchling feces, their trails and smell, it was apparent they were more active in this area.

There were skittering sounds around her, some louder than others. Even with her low signature, RaggedWings might have to think of somewhere to hide.
Her only problem right now was bugs, trying to crawl to the dead body in her grasp. There was no telling when she would attract more attention..

'Dammit, what now?' The mirror's pupilless eyes darted left and right. Trying to determine what was going on. After a little sniffing and annoyed grumbling at the bugs, she leaped at the wall, using the momentum to push herself to the opposite wall before hopping to the ceiling. Clutching it upside down and dashing again, managing to go at an incredible speed even though she had to always have momentum and one claw clutching the ceiling tightly as to not fall down. She dashed with no sound again, her experience allowing an easy ride as she followed the tunnel forward.

Not caring if there were someone there.

As she got closer, she could hear a little clashing? Maybe someone trying to defend them or maybe just little hatchlings trying to escape prying jaws with their underdeveloped claws, while not-tough-enough scales tried to puff up. Trying to get more protection by instinct.

Survival instinct.

RaggedWings would soon find the reason for the strange noise. The tunnel suddenly lit up, as if the sun decided to turn on underground.

Though it was not a sun, but a hunched over skydancer. It must have come from a separate arm, or stalked her from behind. Light magic radiating from his eyes, the wings flaring at the sight of the mirror dragon.
"Its over here!" He shouted, soon followed by more noise. Heavy, less than graceful and probably hungry thuds.
