RaggedWings' crests stayed up and alert through the whole progress, listening as the head of the clan devoured hatchling after hatchling. How did they even keep their clan from turning a retirement cave for old dragons? Sure, it did seem beneficial to join a clan with such a strong team and big territory. Yet, is it really worth all the sh*t they went through? Maybe it was. The red mirror had never been in a clan before. It was plain boring to be stuck in one place and take orders from some random dragon.

She slowed down and sniffed the ground "Did those guys move the landmarks? Real mature," The criminal huffed out, not really looking as bothered with her tone and the way she just kept on skipping through the unnatural tunnel.

She stuck her snout up and sniffed the air. Alright, she could sense fresh blood from far away. The head of the clan, cuz she wasn't much of a 'leader', must be devouring more hatchlings at the moment.

She dived into yet another tunnel, one that was high but tight from the side. She had to press her wings close to her body.

Going into the smaller space would prove a good choice. The vile smell was re-emerging… as two red glaring eyes peered into the tunnel. The guardian had been completely silent, save the faintest heartbeat and drops of blood and goo dripping on the floor.
Though it didn’t seem as if Bloodsurge had spotted RaggedWings yet…

Further into the tunnel emerged another scent. The dusty wildclaw had crawled in as well, just as silent as the guardian behind her. He held a shush gesture, waving for RaggedWings to follow him…

RaggedWings whole body tensed at the sight.

Dammit.

But she kept her face natural, observing the guardian as ?t did whatever. Her eyes darted around yet always went back to her in an attempt to both look for a way out and keep BloodSurge in her sight.

Her crests stuck up almost straight at the sight of the Wildclaw. Her eyes widening and already open mouth went slack for a bit before snapping shut. What the f*ck this old hag was even doing here??? Her eyes followed his motions, and, well froze for a second.

Even master criminals get shocked when someone suddenly offers them aid.

She looked between them for a second before nodding with a sour expression. The smell was getting too heavy for her liking. She hurried to him, the royal robes she stole then turned into prison tatters blocked her quick steps and muffled any sound that it could make.

Wether the sudden movements was discovered was hard to say. Bloodsurge was just staring inside, probably noticing their scents.

Acid did not seem to react to her expressed feelings, gently touching her side before guiding her forward.
The hope that they could be quiet enough was ungodly, the slightest shifting of dirt could provoke the beast behind them. Especially as they emerged into a larger tunnel. Based on the decapitated hatchling wing on the ground, Bloodsurge could reach this place.

Acid stood still, seemingly listening before walking to a wall. Then pointed at a tiny crevice in the ceiling, Hopefully accessible if they squeezed as tightly as possible.

RaggeWings kept her heat-sensing eyes on the guardian as she followed the Wildclaw to an opening.

The mirror surveyed the tunnel before zeroing her eyes on the wing. It was a soft orange, lying limp on the ground. Maybe a pearlcatcher? She kept on staring at the wing before Acid's movements got her attention, her crests pinning themself to her skull. Her eyes narrowed before going back to their normal size, she could easily fit there.

Yet, the Wildclaw had offered her aid. Not a bright thing to do but, well, she couldn't let herself owe someone a debt. Not even an old wildclaw who probably has numbered days. Also, in a place like that, she would be v?nreable to blows from behind.

"You go first," She got close to the wildclaw to whisper those, nudging him with a wing.

Acid heard and turned to her confused. But just shrugged and climbed into the hole. He seemed to be struggling a bit, but using his wings to push himself forward, his tail soon disappeared into the darkness.

Now RaggedWings was in the tunnel alone. So alone, the increasing reeking scent of the monster was becoming stronger. In the darkness, RaggedWings could now see the guardian first with heat-seeking eyes, and see how the large dragon managed to lumber forward with a surprising amount of grace.

It was coming in her direction.

RaggeWings' eyes darted between the old man and the probably older guardian. Her eyes watching the tail swishes as it disappeared.

She gritted her teeth so hard it almost made sparks at the sight of BloodSurge, coming to her, straight to her. She stared at her for a second before jumping into the wall and launching herself into the hole. It was much easier to move there for her. She easily slid forward with her naturally slender body until she felt the tip of the elder's tail.

Her head snapped back then forward once again as seemingly decided something.

The sand-colored dragon soon felt what was going through the mirror's head. Well, even though her first thought was to maul the Wildclaws and scatter the remains, she rammed her shoulder into the one in front of her instead. Pushing with such force that seemed impossible for her size, she rushed the bigger body forward. Easly pushing his whole body weight.

Acid looked looked forward, patiently waiting before nearly snapping at her as she suddenly grabbed his tail. Then got the idea of maybe pushing himself forward, in case RaggedWings needed help crawling inside.

His analysis was wildly wrong as he felt himself pushed forward, though he was pretty quick to hold onto his surroundings and shove him and RaggedWings safer into the crevice.

They had been quiet enough for Bloodsurge to walk past the hole, non the wiser about their escape.

Climbing and climbing in the narrow space, they at last reached the roots of a decaying tree sprouting from the ground. They could see the sky from the open roots, and the tall spires the clan had made. Including the hundreds of dragons that were flying around, some walking or resting.

Acid tried to grab onto her.

RaggeWings huffed more than a few times throughout their whole journey in that tight little tunnel, both showing the Wildclaw she was annoyed and that she was still right after him. Not keep on getting slapped in the face by his tail if he tried to locate her.

Her eyes scanned the roots and the outside world that shined between the rotten pieces.

She, let's not say flinched back to not hurt her gigantic ego, shrunk back, and almost bit down on the 'offered' hand. Shaking the thoughts of sinking her teeth and shaking her head like some blood-thirsty shark, she watched him. Taking a second before allowing the elder to touch her left wingtip, sharpened with blood-colored shards.

He smiled a little at her reaction, but guided her into a comfortable position inside the tight cover. It was awkward, but it would be safer than exposing themselves to the uncertain nature of the dragons above.

"So, how was your adventure? Has the survival rate of this week’s youth plummeted with your active efforts?" He asked, but didn’t sound very angry. If anything, maybe even mocking her.
"Do you think you would have made it out on your own?"
