@Dracknorin After Beelzebub and Ammanas had departed haven word was not heard from them for close to a year. Then one blisteringly hot day, one where few dragons would dare even move during the daylight hours, a lone dragon approached the gaping maw of haven He looked tired, and his once proud courier's uniform was tattered and filthy.

He looked tired, and his once proud courier's uniform was tattered and filthy.
""I feel I should apologize for what's happened here... some of my employees took things too far."
Two sleek ridgebacks were lounging outside. One was a bright blue and dressed in worn raider clothes, the other a deep midnight color with nothing but a ragged cloak across her shoulders. The brighter one half-stood with bared teeth, but the other waved her down with a claw. "He's welcome," she said, a glint of recognition in her her white eyes. "You look exhausted, dragon, feel free to come inside and have a drink before you deliver whatever news you bring."

Misery didn't get up, but she moved her tail out of the way. The sharp blade that was attached to the end scraped pleasingly against the ground. She was enjoying her mobility.

Skyheart pulled her tail back as well. "Careful in there," she yawned, "the clan's uppity today. Something to do with the leadership I think."

((I'm subscribed, not sure if you were. @Nope570 Also just a heads up, I changed jobs and now I keep strange hours. I'll reply as often as I can, but it won't be at consistent times until next month.))

The courier nodded.

"I hope you're offering something stiffer then water"

He trudged between the two dragons, spareing either a second look.

""I feel I should apologize for what's happened here... some of my employees took things too far."
Skyheart snorted in amusement as they watched him enter the clan's common area.

The normally relaxed and mostly empty room seemed to be more crowded than usual, and even before exiting the entrance hallway raised voices could be heard. Snatches of arguments echoing around full room.

"--dragon is deranged! The clan leader--"

"If you think we would just throw her out like--"

The clan members seemed divided, and strongly. Though the clash of voices made words almost impossible to make out, it was obvious that they were mulling either around the necromancer and her loyal, or around what appeared to be a hulking, cloaked imperial. The face of the dragon was covered, but pinning the cloak across their broad shoulders was the crest of the queen. Silth's own.

The necromancer, who was looking slightly haggard, was the first to notice the newcomer. A hush followed as others took notice.

"If you think I'll allow you to put the rest of my clan in danger for the sake of some insane old--" she turned her head suddenly, surveying the tundra with narrowed eyes. Once the clan had mostly piped down she addressed him in a calm tone.

"Most dragons send their missives by bird," she said, smoothing out her robes, "so I trust you have some urgent communique. Please, don't mind our little meeting, the clan will see to it that you have food and drink still. If you need.

The imperial was still blocking access to the lower tunnels by sheer bulk, and only let out a deep throaty rumble. The rest of them stayed more or less divided into groups, but their ire was clearly not with the tundra.

The tundra pushed his beret back on his head. "Respectfully ma'am the last bird we sent into these parts got eaten. Now if you don't mind I have a letter for, uhh.."

He pulled out a letter and squinted at it.

"Penant? No... Oh, Penance?"

""I feel I should apologize for what's happened here... some of my employees took things too far."
The robed dragon blinked, shifting in place slightly as she listened. "Ah, that would be me." She tried to move, but the room was just a bit too crowded for the large ridgeback to move freely without stepping on someone.

Penance flicked a claw, and her familiar fluttered down from her shoulder to retrieve the letter for her. The massive death seeker was almost the size of the tundra it landed in front of. It blinked its large eye, waiting patiently to receive the letter.

The tundra held out the letter for the large bird of prey to take.

"Please take the letter and not my hand, I still need that."

The corvid leaned in and gently plucked the letter from his hand with its beak, hopping backwards a step or two before returning to Penance. The ridgeback wasted no time in opening it. A silk-clad pearlcatcher shoved her way through the crowd, pausing in front of Quinten and bowing politely. If you'd like to take some time to rest and have a meal, I'd be happy to escort you." Her tail swished lightly back and forth as she glanced up at the clan leader. Penance could easily send one if her birds if a reply was needed. The tundra just looked exhausted.

The black wax seal broke easily, and the letter was very meticulously written in a very neat handwriting.

"Hello Penance
I hope you are in good health. I apologize for the delay on your invitation to Vigilator Nord. See, things haven't been running smoothly in the past few months, and things have only just made it back to normalcy. When you are ready to visit just burn this letter as its enchanted, have anyone or anything you want nearby.

Respectfully
Dr. Samuel Hayden "

The tundra eyed over the pearlcatcher. "Yah water would be fine."

((Wasn't it Silth, the wildclaw, that was supposed to be visiting? Penance wouldn't go anyways, she's busy trying to be a lich. I can have her write a reply to that effect if you don't want to edit.))
