@Madlibs: Lyre's Lost Lore Thank you to everyone who participated in day 1! We had quite a turnout and the sheet worked at scale, which was a relief haha. A surprising number of you picked "cactus" for your first word. Weird pattern I noticed when reading through everyone's madlibs.

Don't forget to send in your participation fee if you want raffle tickets and badges! I noticed a couple people sending in madlibs who didn't pay, which is totally fine, just want to make sure you don't forget if you did want to participate in the prize side of the event. If not, that's fine, just enjoy the madlibs!

Speaking of badges, I'll start out by presenting the daily badge. You all filled in the lore for baroclinic runners, so our badge (by the lovely Kiomori) features one:

If you read the rules, you'll also know there are two special awards for most plausible and most nonsensical madlibs (also done by Kiomori). Without further ado, Lyre will present the winners for Sunday...

@Kururin, I think you have the right idea! Baroclinic runners are famous for their love of fulgurite, and hematite would certainly give them that distinctive flecked sparkle, though I'm not sure it's entirely accurate. We can workshop that one. And since you said it, I just KNOW the Spiral in the original lore said it was tingly! It could still use a little refinement, but we're on the right track! It's almost like you have these things memorized...I have a feeling you'll be very helpful in this endeavor. Here's your most plausible badge for getting things right!

On the other hand, @SoftFrogger, your version was absolutely horrible. Eating frogs and smelling of fish? And why would they collect obsidian if they found it icky? Thank you for helping, but I think you may not know your subspecies very well. No, I won't be taking any feedback on my process here. This is definitely the best way to get the right answers. Here, maybe this most nonsensical badge will encourage you to do better next time.

Thanks, Lyre! Sorry if she wasn't very gentle in her delivery, this whole fiasco has given her tunnel-vision for getting the lore right. She cannot be reasoned with. If you didn't get picked this time, don't worry—Lyre won't choose the same person twice for the same award.

• vaguelycanine: the smell of bone was great imagery
• Kirrashi: kitten development! awww definitely relaxing
• TheBirdandtheBow: charged entrails and the smell of opinion...you were a nonsensical runner-up
• CocoatheRainWing: the "smell of toenail" was terrible to read, 0/10 thank you for your service. Also enjoyed the mystery island mention haha
• Drakenhart: I don't know why "fresh salt" made me giggle so much, but great choice of mineral
• Canisa: "call developing book" gave me an image of dragons wandering the woods calling out for a lost book as if it's gonna answer them
• OnceWorried: compels me...

So…perhaps we should focus on Lightning concepts…” …Some time later, the seasoned writer tilted her head in confusion as Lyre read out the scroll’s “repaired” contents. It seemed that using ideas from Lightning was not the best notion after all…but at least the description somewhat made sense now…right?[/i][/columns] Hmmm....Well, at least she tried...Perhaps tomorrow's dragon will have better luck. :D

@CasualTea96 Hmm this sounds right... Metallic hair, working on new ways to combine old things, those both make sense with what I remember about this subspecies. And believe it or not, I've definitely seen dragons crush up gears to add to their coffee grinds. This all sounds reasonable. Whether it's correct about Sparkbugs, we'll just have to compare with other sources to see. Here's your most plausible badge for getting things right! I think...

@SCNSadameKioku I think you missed the part where this is a Veilspun subspecies. Not distinguishing between sandwich and spreadsheet is something Aethers do. I would know—it's how I got into this mess in the first place! It'll be a cold day in the Molten Scar before there's ever a "euphoric mandatory staff training meeting." A goofy sequence of horses? Your attempt at repairing this lore scroll is what's goofy! Here, maybe this most nonsensical badge will encourage you to do better next time.

• extinction: Brittle hair and feeble ankles is just what it's like getting older. Also "...blood" was a very funny entry
• vaguelycanine: "fluffy sequence of beans" is just my cat's paws <3
• Kiomori: "seeking river in the ocean" well good luck with that guys lolol. Also the fish milkshake...
• Latsyric: "Hacking new ways to combine old things" and getting the tea right made you a good contender for most plausible!
• flocksisworld: I see a physics theme happening
• reybrella and jbapple both gave them spicy hair
• CocoatheRainWing: The shelf where Icewarden keeps his leg hair clippers??? Where do you people come up with this stuff hahaha
• Golden: A slimy pool party sounds awful
• AHumanBean: Yours was silly the whole way through, but the delicate cult initiation at the end made me snort
• Stolen: Ooo I wanna do an opalescent activity, that sounds fascinating.
• CaptainDrakken: Another person who got the tea right!
• OnceWorried: Seeking uvula in Bossdad's broom closet sounds a little...
• Kirrashi: I really debated giving you the most plausible badge today. You were a solid second-place for plausibility
• Medievalredragon: You were hungry for pickles when doing this, weren't you? Haha
• TheBirdandtheBow: That adorable yet unnerving pageant is just all child pageantry I think haha. Also your Sparkbugs might want to ask Pinkerton about those Trading Post lightbulbs...
