@Petall
I'm so glad you like the reaper lore I'm weaving (especially since your story inspired it). It does seem to show the signs of defeating Dakila, hm? =3 Thank you again for Zeki! It was fun introducing two characters in a chapter.

And of course! Did you catch that it looks like ghostly souls around her because it what fueled her new life (after dying in your Locke)? Tried to finally make that more apparent vs her accent that hints as spirit energy moving her body.

More Cabaletta lore makes me go[emoji=pearlcatcher love size=1] I'm glad that my little one has gotten so much lore and it makes me happy. I'm also glad to see Clover grown up (I had a Clover of my own in the run that I'm currently doing). Also, if you need help with breeding, try getting characters that have otherwise not interacted much with one another some interaction and see if anything sticks (within reason). Though for real, I get the struggle.

The meetings he had been organizing to overthrow the royal family and return Tusitala to power have been quite fruitful, with this audience being the largest yet. It forced him to utilize a local gathering space to accommodate them all, but only after including the owner to join in their cause, of course. The dragons were still murmuring to themselves, but had quieted down substantially with all eyes on Douglas. He enjoyed having this power and sway over others, and it was even more uplifting to know it would be towards a just cause he believed in. “Right, let’s get to business then. Kai,” Douglas gestured to a stern looking Ridgeback to his right, “had overheard a bit of juicy news in the palace – seems that they will be having a celebration of our new rulers’ coronation,” he paused to make room for the bit of booing from the crowd before continuing, “and it will be the future leaders of Nan’nalu that will be invited to it. Those that hold our kingdom’s future and influence its inhabitants will be sought out, and that’s where you will all fit in. You, the leaders of Nan’nalu’s rightful future, need to be showing your abilities and talking with the right dragons to ensure you get an invitation. If we get enough of us there at this event, we can plan out a strategy that will guarantee Tusitala’s return to the throne. But we need as many dragons as we can to ensure its success,” he looked around the room, directly into a few sets of eyes to emphasize this, “This is our moment! If we are to create a future that Nan’nalu needs, a future that will remember our efforts, this has to work with everyone here! Who is with me?” Rousing cheers erupted and claws hammered the ground. Douglas raised his head in pride – nothing could stop the force of change, their change, from happening. Their righteous motives will guide this plan to succeed! A shadowy form appeared from the back of the room after the crowd quieted, “Quite a rousing speech, Douglas. You have me moved to action.” Dakila walked forward towards the place Douglas was standing, a hood covering his face while his silky voice spoke, “It gives me hope that Nan’nalu is heading in the right direction towards a bright future.” The crowd of dragons parted smoothly as Dakila walked through them, curiosity peaked at this newcomer. But Douglas only smiled and nodded towards Dakila, “You made it! So you heard about the celebration and ours plans? Do you approve?” Finally, Dakila stood beside Douglas and slowly removed his hood, “Of course. This plan will certainly succeed with such a fine team of dragons here to lead the charge. I am happy to have placed such faith and responsibility in your careful claws.” Douglas’ chest swelled in pride, and he turned his attention to the crowd, “This here is the dragon that helped direct my frustration and anger into action. Without him, there would be no force today to bring back our true king to his rightful throne.” The crowd began to nod in approval to the newcomer, voices murmuring with support of the mysterious dragon. “Will you be joining us in the event, friend?” Douglas asked. Dakila shook his head, “I cannot be seen at the celebration, otherwise I’d be jailed immediately. No, I will instead be finding a force that will help you when you begin the coup. When you send the signal, I will be able to answer and bring a calvarly that ensure your success!” Voices began to chatter excitedly from the crowd, questioning what such a force may be. Dakila noticed, and turned to them, “This force I cannot say, as I want to ensure its secrecy until the right moment. But realize, I have full trust in you and your abilities to succeed, even without my help.” His words seemed to have appeased the crowd, especially with Douglas’ full support being showcased, “Rest assured, we will succeed. But having your surprise force will be a welcome support to claim our victory.” Dakila gave a firm nod to Douglas and then began to don his hood again, “Send word to me when all of the pieces are in place. I must be off to prepare…” Dakila again parted the crowd as he made to the room’s exit. This time, the crowd was completely silent as they watched him make his way. With one last turn, he spoke, “To Nan’nalu’s future!” and the crowd echoed him with a cheer, “To Nan’nalu’s future!” The cheers still echoed in the room even after Dakila disappeared into the shadows. I have an important meeting with the Queen,” Akamu stated proudly, holding a bag of scrolls with all of his plans and outlines. He took time and great care to meet with so many dragons and marenfolk of the kingdom to find the best caterers and decorators, cooks and artists, tailors and musicians – nothing was too small of a detail to overlook when going for perfection! The guard eyed Akamu, “The Queen has cleared her schedule to tend to some important matters. I believe your meeting has to be put on hold until she returns.” Akamu’s heart fell into his stomach at hearing these words, and he became like a statue trying to digest the news, “But…but I…surely there is some mistake!” The guard just shook their head, “I’m sorry, but that is what I was told by the Queen.” Luckily, Keola was inside the room and poked zir head out, “Akamu? Is that you?” Akamu jumped at the opportunity, “Why yes! Princen Keola, I am in need of your assistance. The Queen had permitted me to plan out an event in celebration for both of your new roles as rulers of Nan’nalu. Well, I suppose not exactly new since the Queen has been leading Nan’nalu for some time…” Akamu trailed off but caught himself as he saw Keola’s face turn concerned, “But to quell any dissent from the inhabitants, it is to create a more intimate setting between you and biggest influencers and future leaders of the kingdom!” Surprise dawned on Keola’s face, “Oh yes! I did hear about the potential dissent over Tusitala’s transition of power. So this was to help rectify it?” Akamu nodded vigorously, “Absolutely, your Grace. Perhaps we can review the plans I have while the Queen is away? If you approve of it, then I can get everything arranged immediately. We still have to consider the time it takes to send out invitations and prepare the palace…all of which can delay the event and its effectiveness.” “Oh, I suppose that would make sense. Hmm…yes! Please come in, and we’ll see if there’s anything that we can agree on and move forward,” Keola said, nodding to the guard. Once the guard moved aside from the door, Akamu gave a triumphant smile and eagerly entered the room. “Now the theme will be ‘legacy’ – think of it as a walk down Nan’nalu’s rich history and your right to rule…” Keala, who was standing beside the helm, whistled and then called out, “Crew, fall in!” A moment past before the entire crew was standing at attention before her…well, almost everyone, save for Luca and the newest member, Zeki. Anuenue looked annoyed though and tried to ignore Sklonda. “Did we ‘ave some o’ the crew sleep in?” Keala asked the group, and Anuenue was quick to answer disdainfully, “They’ve been at it all night lookin’ at EGGS. Probably fell asleep in there too.” Reading the animosity from Anuenue’s words, Keala turned to Sklonda, “Could ye please find them? I need to ensure they know o’ our plans an’ be ready to disembark.” Without a word, Sklonda left to find Luca and Zeki. “As fer the rest o’ ye, we will be venturin’ in the waters o’ the Sea o’ One Thousand Currents. Some of ye were there when we faced the great sea beast. Some o’ ye weren’t. But all o’ ye ‘ave been trained to keep yerself and each other safe. We don’t want to lose anyone o’ our family,” Keala’s eyes passed over her crew, which had grown much since she first set sail on the Second Chance, “The goal is to get in an’ stay unnoticed. We don’t want to combat the creature, but we will give ‘em cannon fire if we ‘ave no choice.” Seabert nodded gravely at their captain’s words. They knew that Keala entrusted them to keep the cannons at the ready at all times, and they were set to do what they could to protect the one family that they’ve ever known. It was their time to show their mettle. Keala nodded back to Seabert, feeling the intense energy behind their eyes, “I know I can trust ye to keep this crew safe if things take a turn fer the worst. Now fer the rest of ye, keep yer eyes sharp an’ on the water when ye can. Seein’ the sea beast first will give us the edge an’ the best chances at avoidin’ it. The watch duties in the crow’s nest will be ‘andled by Ember, Glan, an’ Sklonda. Ye will rotate between yerselves. Keep to yer rest schedules to ensure no one falls asleep on their watch.” At that point, Sklonda returned with Zeki and Luca fumbling behind her, who both looked like they were roused from a couple hours of sleep, “Once we get to our destination, we will use EGGS to help us look through the ocean. Luca, ye will ensure that the vessel is ship-shape fer when that time comes. I expect ye won’t be as tardy as ye are today.” Luca hung his head meekly, “Aye, Captain. It won’t happen again.” Zeki’s parrot, Polly, squawked, “Won’t happen again!” and Zeki nodded in agreement. “See to it then,” and Keala then turned to Miuccia, “Miuccia, ye an’ I will be guiding the ship on its course. Ooooo, looks like this coronation is going to be very eventful indeed! Also, I wish Keala and her crew well in finally reaching the Sea!

It wasn’t exactly painful, but it was a discomfort they never seemed to get used to. However, they didn’t want to hide away to just get through it, not when there needed to be eyes at all times. They could still use their eyes and remain watchful for any danger in the ocean. Plus, they could then stay away from the crew and not see the pity being reflected in their eyes, especially from their father. Sighing, Seabert rubbed their arms, a fruitless attempt to fight the cold that felt more like a subconscious action for comfort. At least the actual cold of the air didn’t bother them like their crewmates – the few bonuses of having this ghostly body once every month. They saw a bit of movement on deck, a mirror with a canvas in their hands and a satchel of paints over their back. Hmm, must be Anuenue. But why at this hour?... Curiosity caused them to continue to follow the actions of Anuenue, whose canvas was dimly lit by the lantern that sat on the deck beside him. After a time, there seemed to be nothing amiss, and Seabert turned away to continue their watch. Yet there was another unlikely movement out of the corner of their eye that drew their attention. Rather than Anuenue standing alone before the canvas, it was now Anuenue and another unknown dragon. The dragon looked rugged and muscled, dressed in a hardy tunic and pants with a sabre sitting in a scabbard tied to its belt. How did an unknown dragon pop up on the ship when we’re in the middle of the ocean? Is it a stowaway? Seabert remained quiet and watched the scene play out. It seemed that the dragon and Anuenue were talking in quiet voices, with Anuenue moving his arms to emphasize whatever he was saying, which made him look frustrated over the topic. The dragon placed a hand on Anuenue’s shoulder, a motion that looked like it was intended to calm and reassure Anuenue, but it only caused the mirror to hang his head in defeat. What came next caused Seabert to try to rub his eyes in disbelief. The dragon disappeared, its form quickly merging with the canvas so that it appeared to be a common illustration that Anuenue drew. Anuenue snatched the canvas and drawing material, hurrying below deck quickly. Seems like I’m not the only one who keeps their abilities away from the crew, Seabert thought, still surprised by what they saw. Hopefully this illustrated dragon…dragon illustration?...Well, whatever it was, hopefully it did not cause any trouble on their voyage. Maybe Seabert will talk to Anuenue about it later, when the time was right. It was considered a sacred spot, one which lay the bodies of the rulers of Nan’nalu, so it was kept tidy but left undisturbed for the nights. Ula, who was swimming ahead and looked as though they were searching for something. Edel was trailing behind Dakila, both heads keeping an eye out just in case. It seemed hard-pressed to remain by Dakila’s side as much as possible, but Dakila figured he’d used it to his advantage. Plus, two heads were better than one to look for anyone that’d interrupt them. Ula seemed to be guided by their internal whims, turning this way then that as they were looking for their destination. Dakila kept a moderate distance back because of it, not wanting to exert himself with their sudden turns or backtracks. Yet…he felt like there were eyes upon them, and it was grinding on his nerves. He turned towards Edel, who seemed to feel the same thing, but was unable to pinpoint where the intruder was. “If you wish to keep watching us, then come forward and quit hiding in the shadows. Otherwise, I tear you from your hiding spot and tear your throat before you can explain yourself,” Dakila called out angrily. Silence passed for a moment, and Ula turned towards Dakila with confusion. A cackling laughter started to drift out from behind one of the larger headstones. “Hehe, I knew you were something special the moment you entered this space,” said an aberration. He looked more disfigured than a typical aberration, his body seeming to lack cohesion, threatening to bleed and eventually merge into the water. But then there were the extra appendages emerging from his back that made him look fearsome and repulsive to look at. “My mother named me Tristan for the sorry whelp she birthed, but I think it’s a rather fine name for my existence, especially when I see your sorry faces,” Tristan began and then laughed at Dakila and his followers, “I don’t get many visitors here, but it can be tiresome to only have your other head to talk with and keep you company. Although…” He turned one head towards Edel while the first head kept looking at Dakila, “I didn’t think I’d see the dead swimming here of all places.” One of Edel’s heads coughed while the other quickly spoke up, “If you’re here to bother the great king Dakila, then we’ll just have to dispose of you. My King?” and it looked towards Dakila to give the word. But Dakila was intrigued, “We’re looking to find a force to bolster our means to succeed in our plans. Perhaps you’d like to join us rather than stay in this forgotten place?” “A fallen king asking lowly me to join his ranks? A tempting offer,” Tristan said with one head while the other rubbed his chin thoughtfully, “But maybe that’s not what your Fae friend is looking for?” And sure enough, Ula was continuing their way through the graveyard amidst the talking until they reached its very center. There was a large circular space, big enough for a building, and some may initially think it was the foundation of a structure that was now destroyed and removed. Instead, the foundation was a large circular, flat stone, carved with an intricate design of two Undertides swimming in a circular pattern, never seeming to quite reach the other. Ula stopped before the great stone slab and gestured towards Tristan to come over, “Come, I am in need of your abilities.” Tristan grinned, pleased by the thought of being needed, and swam over until he was sitting beside Ula. Ula grabbed Tristan’s hand and held out the other, palm down, towards the stone slab. Their eyes closed and after exhaling, she did not even breathe. An uncomfortable moment passed until Ula’s eyes shot open, glowing with mysterious energy. “To aid the king to almighty power, We reach to you in the late night hour, To come back to us to crush our foes, The greatest of Nan’nalu, deep below, Rise great one! Heed our cry! Break the shackles of death and rise!” While Ula was speaking, their voice’s volume slowly grew as the water churned and spun with its center being at the middle of the stone slab. Cracks began to form along the edges and travel to the center. As soon as the cracks met at the middle, the ground rumbled. At the same time, Tristan’s body appeared to be drawn away for Ula’s spell, the slimy exterior bleeding away and flowing towards the slab’s center and flowing through the cracks. As more was drawn from his body, Tristan was having difficulty maintaining his composure, as though the process was not only draining his life essence, but causing physical pain. Just before Tristan could black out, the magic stopped, and everything was eerily quiet aside from Tristan’s labored breathing. Even Dakila held his breath, waiting in anticipation at what was to come. A sudden force exploded out from the ground, and snaked its way out. It was an immense Undertide with most of its body deteriorated away, and its large armor plating fell off of it, showing more its skeleton. When it completely emerged from the hole beneath the now destroyed stone slab, it coiled in the water and turned its undead face to Dakila and his followers. The empty eye sockets started to glow and then it lunged towards Dakila. “My king, raise the trident now!” Ula screamed. Dakila reached for the dark trident that was tied to his back and raised it high above him. The stone at the base of the prongs began to glow with an eerie light and captivated the sea beast, causing it to freeze immediately. “Edel, bring Tristan with us,” Dakila commanded the petrified Aberration, “Seems that his body has more potential than he knows what to do with.” Edel leapt to action and hoisted Tristan, now passed out, onto its back. “Ula, you never cease to amaze. This beast will obey every command with this trident, yes?” Dakila turned to the Fae as they were approaching. “Yes, I believe so. The magic is ancient, but I should have followed every detail correctly. It is yours to command, to help bring yourself to rightful place on the throne,” Ula bowed, “My King.” Dakila laughed, a small chuckle that grew into wicked laughter, “We have a party to crash!” Ludovica suddenly collapsed in front of Atropos as zi was training Atropos with the scythe. The Pearlcatcher shrieked in surprised, “Ludovica! What’s wrong?!” Zi tried to shake the unconscious Guardian awake and was scared that zi was dead. Thankfully, Ludovica gave a sudden inhale and zir eyes opened wide. Groaning, zi straightened up and looked straight into Atropos’ eyes, “You didn’t feel that surge of energy?” Atropos, confused, shook zir head, “Not at all.” Ludovica shook their head, “You may be a newbie reaper, but you definitely have some spiritual fortitude. There was a disturbance of energy here. Someone must have used a spell to bring something quite powerful back to life. It will make this plane unstable. We cannot stay here much longer." “But I’m not ready! You even said that I wasn’t!” Atropos said. “Playtime is over. You will have to learn as we go. Come,” Ludovica swung zir scythe, creating a hole large enough for a dragon to pass through. Without another word, Ludovica passed through, with Atropos hurrying behind. ----------------------- next @pinglist-2103 I’m very sorry to not have had the chance to do more art pulls the past week. Chapter 61: A Graveyard's Powerful Ally

Full moon…just another night…just have to get through it… Seabert stood in the crow’s nest, gritting their teeth in frustration as the cold was starting to set in. It wasn’t exactly painful, but it was a discomfort they never seemed to get used to. However, they didn’t want to hide away to just get through it, not when there needed to be eyes at all times. Omg, I love the palace art, the composition is so good! Also, I can agree to being burnt out of art, I've only reached day 18 of my prompt list, and plan on stretching it out into November to complete it so I don't stress myself out.

Love the chapter too, I wonder if the two undertides are linked! Also, learning about Seabert's condition on the full moon is fascinating, maybe I should give Brightsea some ghostly abilities/condition too!

@Petall
Being burnt out is no fun =( I hope it stays fun for you by stretching it to November. And thank you! I think I was hesitant to start the piece because I was worried I wouldn't do the palace portions justice (I don't do well with architecture). At least it's done now lol

They might =3 And that'd be cool to see for Brightsea!

I'll be doing my coli pulls in bulk soon. Got too many death streaks and need to see how they'll do...very stressful.
