I'll attempt to do this daily but don't be surprised if I miss a day or two here and there. Their story and lore is separate from that that I'm working on for my lair, think of them as a breakaway bunch who once resided with the Clan of the Sungarde but now they've struck out on their own. [b]"What's wrong with being safe? Having a full belly every day?"[/b] The Sungarde hadn't been her home for long but she felt accepted here. She didn't have to worry about fending for herself, which was nice and there was a bed! A warm bed! [b]"Yeah but... It's so boring here. Where's the excitement?"[/b] Ram countered. [b]"The excite— You mean the danger of almost dying every day? Of never knowing if you'll eat?"[/b] Dia raised a brow, as much as someone of her stature could. Ram huffed and dismissed her with a wave of his hand. Still, the unsettling feeling in his stomach that he had to leave didn't stop. It knotted up for a week straight before he did something about it. [center][img]https://64.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ltq6b3o2BF1r27f5r.gif[/img][/center] [b]"You're WHAT?!"[/b] [b]"Shhh! Don't shout... I'm leaving, Dia. And I'm telling you because, well... I kind of hoped you'd come with me...?"[/b] Ram didn't meet her gaze, felt embarrassed that he even felt shy about this. [b]"Do you have a plan?"[/b] She asked, already knowing what her answer would be regardless of what Ram told her. As much as she liked it here, she liked Ram more and didn't want to be somewhere he wasn't. There was a long beat and Ram subtly shook his head. He quickly tugged on her arm, [b]"Look, we don't need a plan per say. Let's grab some supplies and hit the road. Dragons leave here all the time, no one will notice if we do."[/b] Which hurt both of them to admit but that was the reality of it all. Dia nodded, [b]"Okay. We'll go at sundown."[/b] Which would give them a few hours to gather up what meagre possessions they owned and get some food supplies to last them a few days on their own, at least. It was an easy goodbye, strangely and both of them didn't look back as they exited from the Clan grounds and off into the great beyond. Or well, beyond the Sunbeam Ruins at least. She kept her distance at first, slinking along behind them like a shadow. Luckily it was pretty easy to hide at night (or a lot easier than the day at least) and this was excellent sneaking practice! They'd never know she had tagged along! Or, well, she hoped they would notice at some point... Maybe soon. Her tummy was getting kinda rumbly too and surely [i]they[/i] had the brains to bring food along... right?!

But it's not important enough to document because Kayden doesn't care about that. Right now, Kayden's found a really [i]neat[/i] bug and thinks everyone needs to know about that instead. It was some kind of moth, she knew that much and it had a funny shaped mouth. Pale yellow in colour, Kayden pondered for half a second how the insect would taste. Not that she would [i]eat[/i] her friend. She sniffed at the bug and it hurried off, flapping it's cute little wings. Kayden mimicked the sound of what she imagined would be the noise it'd make, hurrying to creep alongside it with her eyes trained on the insect. So consumed was her interest in this bug that she walked right into Ram and Dia's camp, bumping into Dia's side. Kayden shook out her head, tongue poking out as she stared from Ram to Dia. [b]"Did you—"[/b] Dia raised a brow. [b]"Er, no."[/b] Ram replied, looking a little sheepish, [b]"But, hey! Look on the bright side, isn't three better than two?"[/b] [center][img]https://64.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ltq6b3o2BF1r27f5r.gif[/img][/center] Unbothered about the conversation that would inevitably happen about her, Kayden yawned loudly and curled up next to the fire, wriggling into a comfy shape and promptly falling asleep. Ram and Dia watched this and they both sighed. [b]"Well, let's worry about it tomorrow. We need to save our energy."[/b] Ram tried to sound authoritative, or at the very least like he knew how to be in charge. If he was to be the leader, he had to lead. Step one would be taking care of his friends tomorrow and making sure they lived to see a Day Three (and four and hopefully more).

You can find a more suitable place for us to use as a camp and Kayden..."[/b] The Coatl whipped her head around when Ram addressed her, tongue flopping, [b]"Just stay out of trouble, okay?"[/b] Trouble can come in all shapes and sizes and when they met up again for a late lunch, Kayden was humming excitedly. Ram tried to pay her no mind at first, concentrating on counting up how many supplies they had. Dia had found a small cave that would easily fit the three of them, plus any food and other items they would gather along the way. It was near a small river too, so Ram was particularly excited about their good fortune. A soft clicking noise cut through Kayden's humming and Ram slowly turned his head towards the Coatl. [b]"Dia... Is that what I think it is..."[/b] The larger dragon looked over as well and her mouth dropped open. [b]"...That's... A Hatchling..."[/b] Dia blinked a few times and, when the hatchling didn't magically disappear, then groaned, rubbing a claw over her face, [b]"Kayden, honey. Where did you get that?"[/b] She approached carefully. Kayden could be a little skittish at times and the last thing she wanted was the other racing off with a hatchling in her care. Kayden just nodded, tongue flapping up and down with the motion and held up a half of an egg shell. [b]"Soooo... You [i]hatched[/i] it?"[/b] Dia asked, unsure and looking to Ram for backup. He was just hoping this wasn't real but he shrugged, [b]"Well, I guess we have room for a small dragon... We'll... We'll take care of him? Her?"[/b] Dia quickly checked and mouthed 'her', [b]"Her. We'll take care of her."[/b] The coatl cleared her throat, holding the hatchling with pride and then made a series of noises that roughly sounded like Flutterbye.
