Unfortunately for them, someone [i]was[/i] awake and watching. Neriya didn't like the idea of Sage sneaking off with anyone so she hurried after them and it wasn't hard for her to catch up. [b]"Great."[/b] Sage deadpanned, [b]"What are [i]you[/i] doing? Go back."[/b] He tried to shake off the Coatl and then gave Flutterbye an annoyed sigh. How was he supposed to learn about fighting off Beastclans if Neriya was here? Flutterbye gave him a look as if to say 'Nothing I can do about that Buddy' so Neriya got to tag along. Flutterbye stopped in a clearing not too far away. She started by giving Sage some pointers, how to dodge attacks and the best way to scratch at an enemy. The Skydancer caught on quick and was (though he would never admit it) quitely amused by Neriya mimicking everything in the background. Since she had tagged along anyway, Flutterbye got her involved with some sparring and then all three of them would fight together. Despite his early misgivings, Sage had a good time and could see the merit of Neriya being around. She's wasn't a [i]completely[/i] lousy fighter. Perhaps she wouldn't be too bad to have in his corner. The fearsome threesome returned home together... The three looked at each other and then their leaders, wondering what was going on. [b]"We have some news."[/b] Ram started and then glanced to Dia.The Ridgeback smiled softly at the younger dragons. [b]"We're sorry we kept this a secret from you all."[/b] Flutterbye could tell that both Ram and Dia seemed a little embarrassed about something but what it was, she could never have guessed. Two hatchling peek out from behind their parents, one Bogsneak and one Ridgeback. Flutterbye squealed her excitement and immediately went over to greet both children. Dia chuckled shyly as Neriya and Sage took a bit longer to react. Sage nudged Ram, [b]"You sly dog!"[/b] before quickly giving Dia a hug to congratulate her. Neriya gave a thumbs up to both Ram and Dia and immediately starting to play with the children. Ram and Dia looked to each other. They wouldn't tell them the bad news, how their nest had had three eggs and they sadly had to say goodbye to a child. Rain and Poppi were healthy and that mattered. They turned and joined the group in welcoming the new children. Large green eyes looked around with both glee and greed. He had never so muc food before! His stomach growled loudly as he crept into the cave. Ha, stupid dragons. It was their fault for leaving their stores unattended like this! He stuffed his face and then ate some more, listening to the happy group out by the fire. The cave was nice and cosy anyway, with some fur pelts from Beastclans spread about. Clearly they slept in here, not that [i]he[/i] cared. Despite knowing he had to eat and run, the hatchling curled up on a particularly fluffy bit of fur and promptly fell asleep. With his tummy full and happy, well, he couldn't be blamed. What is that?"[/b] Sage had come into the cave before the others, tired from the day and ready to get some good good sleep. [b]"Hey, everyone, did we forget a hatchling earlier?"[/b] Ram looked alarmed and hurried forward, thinking of Moonbattle but no, he didn't know this dragon. [b]"Where did they come from...?"[/b] He looked to Dia who simply shook her head, no idea. Ram decided to take charge and gently shook the hatchling awake. Time to get to the bottom of this. [b]"Mmm— Wha—?"[/b] One eye opened, took in the sight before him and with a groan, the hatchling tried to go back to sleep. [b]"Not so fast! What are you doing here? Who are you? Get out of my bed!"[/b] Sage wasn't exactly known for his friendly demeanour but he was a lot worse when he was sleepy. [b]"Go away."[/b] The hatchling mumbled and curled up further. Sage opened his mouth and then growled, shoving the hatchling, [b]"Listen, I don't care if you're a baby. Get out of my bed. Go home kid, you're not welcome here."[/b] That was enough to wake the hatchling up. He sat up, looked at Sage and then the others and then immediately burst into tears, [b]"I don't [i]have[/i] a home! I don't have a nice warm bed or lots of food! I'm all alone!"[/b] Sage took a step back, feeling bad and Dia rushed in. [b]"Hush, hush, it's okay... Um, do you have a name?"[/b] [b]"Aramorel."[/b] He sniffed. [b]"Alright Aramorel, you can stay with us. If you need to find your parents, we can do that too. Don't worry, you'll be safe here."[/b] And he would have friends his own age to grow up with. Dia held the Spiral close, hoping to soothe him. When no one else was looking, Aramorel looked over Dia's shoulder and caught Sage's eye. @aetherskyes hehe thank u so much! yeah i bought them from the ah already named but i like it so it's staying. i've been lucky with nice ah finds lately too for my pinkerlocke!
