Quests & Challenges

Ever since I returned to FR, I've been wanting to write some lore for my dragons, but I've never bothered to actually work on it. I figured doing a modified [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/2823161]biolocke[/url] might be the thing to get me to work on it! I've changed a few things to focus on what I want to do. I added a few more options to some of the other stuff. I also changed battle stones being BBCode to replacing it with a crim item, since I don't want to do BBCode whenever I get a battle stone. Also, since I don't always have the motivation or time to do stuff, I can skip days or do them later if I want to. An added benefit of this is that I'll run out of stuff to do more slowly. I'll probably update this as I think of more. Hopefully I don't abandon this immediately like I do most other stuff. The others have speculated about her motivations, throwing out theories as mundane as "She just likes the layout of the rubble here," and "This place just has a high concentration of magic," and as farfetched as "She placed a curse on the area and has to stay here to maintain it." Her gentle nature has led most to completely dismiss any theories like the latter, but some can't help being a little paranoid when she shows off her excellent magical abilities. Due to them both being Mirrors, they hadn’t spoken nearly as much as one might expect for how long they had known each other, but she still felt closer to him than she did to any dragon except for Fritillary. Some of it, Sora thought as she sat in silence with him, watching the sunset, is surely because he doesn’t speak as much as the others. The presence of another dragon like her in the foreign Hewn City comforted her. (89 words)

It was strange. The longest time he could remember going without seeing more of his species was...well, it was a lot shorter of a time than this. The eternal shade that cloaked the Hewn City made it difficult to tell time. All he knew for sure was that he had stayed there for far longer than Mirrors liked to. His injury had healed long ago, but something kept him there, in his makeshift lair in the ruins of a, presumably, once vibrant and populous community. (101 words)

Although she had never spent much time with other dragon species before she met the Fae dragon, she had gotten used to having the tiny dragon around. Fritillary would check on her health whenever she returned, eternally concerned that she would injure herself again while hunting with Adonis. The Fae’s concern for her was one of the factors that kept her around that section of the Hewn City. If she did leave some day, she promised herself that she would at least say goodbye to Fritillary before leaving. (100 words)

Sora waited, becoming somewhat impatient. “No magic I have done should have caused this, although I don’t know how it would be achieved at all. It’s possible, but the most likely cause is the underlying magic in this area. It happened to me, too, some time before you arrived.” After a pause, Fritillary added, “I doubt it’s harmful, in case you’re worried. I haven’t noticed any ill effects. Tell me if anything strange happens. I’d like to learn more about the effects of this place.” “I’ll make sure to tell you if anything happens.” Fritillary finished healing a cut that Sora had gotten from that day’s hunt before flying off to her roost, which was underneath one of the few mostly-intact roofs. She really could use some more tree sap. (170 words)
