Outsider by Eve
“So that it doesn’t end up becoming a barren wasteland, I hid that name and appeared here.”

A very artistically-inclined dragon, Lorella’s favorite place in the city is the area that the other dragons have allowed her to paint freely. She can often be seen there, experimenting with different color combinations and techniques.

Lorella is the artist of the clan. She also helps out with other duties in the Hewn City. She rarely goes out hunting, although she occasionally goes out to gather resources.

Lorella has heard a few of the other dragons speculate that Fritillary might have cursed the area or otherwise done something malicious, but Lorella doesn’t think that Fritillary would do anything to harm them. She feels like Fritillary is too nice to do anything like that.

Present

“What do you think?”
Fritillary, perched on a ledge that was about the height of Lorella’s head, studied the painting that Lorella had done on the ruins.
“It adds a lot of color to the area. You’re very skilled, Lorella.”
Lorella was trying to decide if Fritillary was being genuine or just trying to be polite.
“I do mean that. I like it,” added the Fae.
“Thanks, Fritillary.” Lorella smiled at the little Fae, who nodded and flew off. It seemed like the Mirrors had just returned from a hunt.
As Lorella walked back into the city, holding all of the materials she would need to make more paint, she saw that Sora was looking at her. She hadn’t spoken much to Sora before, due to a combination of Sora’s distaste for small talk and their differing interests and schedules. She met Sora’s eyes, curious why the Mirror was paying attention to her.
Sora then turned away, seemingly in disapproval. As Sora walked away, Lorella was left standing there, still looking in the direction that Sora had gone. She looked down at the resin she had collected, wondering if she had done something wrong or if that was just how Sora always acted. Sora had been a mystery to her before, and this new interaction had only confused Lorella even more.
