I mostly picked him up because he's a one-off our target coloration if I get super desperate and ditch trying to breed the genes in. (Unlikely, but it's good to have a backup just in case.) Meanwhile, Mehdi has the same coloration as Summer, and although she lacks the Glimmer gene Summer has, she's unrelated to Galeno (the female with the exact coloration who may wind up being a mate for a final pair, though she lacks a gem gene) unlike Summer, who is related. The current plan is to basically breed Arpine + Eurys until I get a male with Constellation/Glimmer (as stated above), then breed that B2 to Mehdi until I get a male with Constellation/Glimmer of the right colors, then breed [i]that[/i] to Galeno for 100% chance of the coloration and attempts at the right genes. So what I [i]could[/i] do is breed them together and rent the right nest for a male of the right coloration and then just buy the scrolls needed (ouch wallet), or I could go with my original plan to breed Amatsu (Arpine+Eurys) to either Summer or Mehdi until they get the right combination, then breed [i]that[/i] to either Luna or Galeno (or their offspring), but... even if I were to do that, there is very little chance they'd inherit the gem tertiary gene as neither Luna or Galeno have a gem tertiary gene. So what I'm thinking is: I will breed Luna/Galeno and nest rent until I get a male from them, and keep this dragon as our ultimate candidate/backup to gene. I will then continue breeding Amatsu to Summer/Mehdi until they get something useful or until I wind up having the funds to actually push through the genes necessary on Luna/Galeno's offspring.
