It's been a few days and he has had nothing to do. Everyone is still deep in their quests, including Trev, who took on a protege. Maybe he should do the same? Then again, he hasn't really [i]met[/i] anyone outside his lair, let alone someone who would want to join him. It just felt selfish to try and convince someone to join him and start their own quest. No...people should come over their own free will. He watches the others come and go, feeling a bit disconnected all of a sudden. He wanders back to the coliseum himself as well, hunting for a tincture with little success. Oh well, another day. "Suppose I will work on a grand bio then. I already have some art pieces to showcase...and I already have the skeleton of a bio up. Should be easy to make it even prettier..." He gets to work, figuring out what to write. It is not quite as ghastly as the bony protrusions of the banescale gene, but Dreamer's new look is pretty macabre. Skeletons belong on the inside. He can't hide his horror of her new gene. Dreamer is rather disheartened by his reaction. Ash hisses softly and she brightens with an idea. She sends the snake over, hoping his presence will calm her friend. They eventually set off to the Sandswept Delta for a warm-up. LittlePrincess keeps sending her little looks and his frills keep twitching. Dreamer finds a [item=Natural Might Fragment] and is pleased to have more strength to fight. Despite the lingering unease between them, they try venturing into the Forgotten Cave. It's dark, dank, and smells funny. There's some strong enemies that they have to worry about, but taking one or two packs at a time works well for them. A [item=Shadow Runestone] clatters to the ground. Dreamer curiously picks it up. They settle into a good rhythm and reach [b]level 16[/b]. LittlePrincess curls up away from Dreamer to sleep. [center][b]Excerpt from the journal of Duane Day 9[/b][/center] We’ve been busy for a few days, after returning home we were greeted by the others of the Tavern and spent a day resting. Once that day was over we were prepared to head back out and explore, but something came up. It seems that the other adventurer’s have made a deal with another clan to help train warriors. They have a lot of warriors to train, over 100 and are in need of us to stay back and keep a watch to make sure nothing happens. While I do not wish to place our journey on hold for so long I did agree. Once they came back today from training some of the warriors the leader agreed we could spend the last little while venturing out so as not to get rusty. We agreed and went out for a little while. It was a fruitful time being out. Not only did I find a guard thus allowing me to protect my allies, but I received a shining might fragment and another might stone with no alignment. It will do for now. Better than all of that Gwenora has found a morph. She is the first on our team to find any gene and she could not be more proud. Hopefully, Wendigo and I will have some luck soon. Update Hawthorne has received a [item=haste] from a very generous dragon! She no longer needs any coli stones at all (except a tincture), and at level 22, she's almost done with her leveling! Now all she needs is a bio... *procrastinates harder*

The enemies are stronger here, but aren't much challenge. Dreamer is saddened by his reaction, but he can't shake off his discomfort. Things are awkward between them again.
