Three leads in the picture:
1. The webbed footprints around the well
2. The claw marks on the ground and the wooden beam
3. The scorched (?) marks on the wooden beams

Bonus mystery:
According to the Victorian language of flowers, common basil means hatred, while sweet basil conveys the sender’s best wishes. So uh, yeah. Very different meanings depending on what kind of basil Amaria got. Given what we know so far, I'm inclined to go with the hatred meaning, but I wouldn't rule out a secret admirer just yet.

Big mystery
Why someone is collapsing the well is obvious - somebody has a grudge against Amaria and/or wants her farm to fail. As for who - it's too early to say. We have only one name so far, and I think a dragon like Amaria could make a lot of enemies.

Also, I have a question for Amaria - Do you know exactly what kind of basil was left on your doorstep? Common, sweet, other?

That's interesting. The basil has an ancient history and was considered a sacred plant, in fact its name in ancient Greek is basiliskos that means "worthy of a king".
Since Amaria received the land from Gladekeeper herself, the two could be connected in some way.

• Big Mystery •
It's still too early to say, but given the footprints, I wouldn't rush to blame some dragons. I leave the hypothesis of some familiar minions open...

However, being a native of pesto homeland, I gladly approve Proudfoot idea!

Basil means hatred in the language of flowers, so it is likely a message to Amaria from whoever is collapsing her well.

Big Mystery:

There's not enough information to tell who it could be, and we don't know who else lives out here. Why someone is doing this is likely because of resentment held towards her, maybe she angered someone who lives in the area.

For the Greeks, and later the Romans, basil was associated with hatred. To grow, it had to be sown with swearing and ranting. Maybe someone doesn't like Amaria very much ?

Maybe someone or something doesn't want Amaria here, or it's about a place where a well is built ?
It's hard to say who it is so far. More tips is needed.

I have a question for Amaria-Is a well destroyed in the same way ? Was there an exception that drew your attention ?

Considering a lot of dynasties considered them to be associated with hatred I would have to go with the basil being a message from someone who absolutely despises her.

Why? Perhaps she twisted their leg in the wrong way and after that they have had an intense hatred for her. This is some sort of revenge for what she did to them. Who tho? Too early to tell.

The basil is potted, so hard to imagine someone gave it out of hatred for Amaria. Maybe someone who saw what happened to the well but is too scared to come forward? Maybe it's a hint that the vandal's name is Basil

Far too soon to tell but my hunch is it's not the shepherd.
