However, what was more noticeable was Coagulation's sudden affection for this strange hatchling. He became very alert with the hatchling nestled between his shoulders, acting very protective of her. He'd often ask if she was okay or if she needed anything. Some times he even asked they stop for a moment to care for her on the rare occassions Cisco needed her bandages changed. Baroke often fumed over this, but yet again it seemed to be the whole group against him in this situation. He just accepted that the hatchling would be staying with them for a while. And, luckily for Baroke's sanity, they still made it to Greatwym's Breach before nightfall. They easily found a deserted crevice among the homes of other dragons there, dragon's that didn't bat an eye to the travelers slithering into a crevice on the ground level. When the band got into the crevice, Baroke already plopped down and fell asleep without bothering to unpack his things in classic Spiral fashion. Ferro and Lai also plopped down near the crevice entrance, but were much more careful and unpacked their bedding before nodding off, heat from the day exhausting them. Cormac went to a crack in the wall and disappeared within, finding a room off of the main crevice. Coagulation did the same, and Amnity observed that this must have been the home of a small clan or family. She sighed as Coagulation disappeared into a room with Cisco. Amnity herself sat down and made a small fire to warm the lair. Amnity sighed as the fire came to life after lighting what remained of her tinder. She was quick to gather some dried wood left behind by the previous inhabitants to build up the fire. After the fire seemed to roar with life, Amnity went to find her own crevice to sleep in. Just as she touched the threshold, Coagulation's voice sounded behind her. "Mind if I join you? Cisco is sleeping and I don't want to disturb her." He said, bowing a little. "Uh, sure." Amnity said, going into the dim room behind the smaller crevice. She began to fluff out the bedding from her bag. The room was hardly big enough for more than one dragon, but thankfully they were both slim and could fit. Coagulation grabbed the blankets and helped spread them out. "So, did you get anything from Cisco?" She asked, curling up in the bed they made."How are you so good with her?" Coagulation shook his head. "She claims not to remember anything. I'll talk to her again tomorrow. " He gave a small chuckle. "I sired one nest of hatchlings once.." He said sheepishly. "Oh..." Amnity said. "How was it?" "Ah, it was fun, but I wasn't allowed to be in their lives for very long." Coagulation explained, a bit of regret in his voice. Amnity gave him a little hug with her wing, and she felt him snuggle into her side. "I'm sure you can make up for that..." She said. She felt Coagulation tense up a little. "Ah, milady..." Coagulation said. "I've been meaning to ask you something..." Amnity felt her breath caught in her throat. She felt she knew what was coming next. "I've been wanting to ask if we could become mates. I know this must sound sudden, but I've been enamored with you since I met you..." Coagulation said, touching his face with a paw. Amnity couldn't answer, she froze. "Milady, please..." Coagulation said after a moment, voice sounding strained. "I need to know. I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable.... but I really have loved you..." Amnity wasn't sure what to say, so she nuzzled the side of his face. "So... you did admit your love for me that night..." She whispered after a moment. Coagulation let a small trill in his throat and nuzzled her back. Amnity slid a green eye over to the entrance. "My dad's gonna be so mad...." She thought. But I... think it'll be worth it....
AHfddsbhdjkvdgfhhjjd this was hard for me to write lmao. So yeah, Amnity and Coagulation are official. @fenshae, @Karrikut, @Jaspernoir, @MysteryGyn, @SpaceSnake, @Stri, @OceanPuppy I sense this legacy is going to take a while...
Mehrune was snoozing with Raiga outside their lair in the sun when Talkora came bustling out of the den. "Mehrune!" She chattered excitedly. "The eggs are hatching!" Mehrune snorted as his eyes cracked open. "What?..." He mumbled out. "Clean out your ears!" Talkora hissed before returning back to her cheerful demenor. "I said the eggs are hatching!!" "Oh... OH!" Mehrune barked, standing up. Raiga squeaked awake when he was tumbled from his father's lap. "Come on, come on!" Talkora urged, pulling Mehrune's arm. "H-hey wait for me!" Raiga said, rushing after them. When they crowded into the lair, one of the new hatchlings was struggling her way out of the egg. After a few kicks, a spiral tumbled out of the egg. "Ah! She looks like you!" Talkora cried, picking up the hatchling and snuggling it to her face. Mehrune stated, picking up the hatchling and gently cleaning him off. Just as Mehrune finished cleaning off his second son, the third egg hatched in an almost explosive fashion. Both Talkora and Mehrune scrambled to catch the hatchling, but with their hands full, they couldn't. So, the third hatchling tumbled right into Raiga. Talkora nearly shrieked with joy when she saw her second daughter. "She's almost the spitting image of you Mehrune!" At least there's a 50/50 chance at a) getting rid of basic completely and b) gene upgrades. But my math is flawed haha. I almost can't beleive they threw me an XXY, and in Mehrune's colors.... And poor Mehrune is non the wiser of what's going to happen once they get older. ALSO UPDATE: I'm not getting rid of any of my Bloodwings but if you snooped my main lair, you may have noticed Aegis and Surdane have gone missing. They're just in my Hibernal Lair because I won't be using them any more! I think all of my Bloodwing dragons, except for maybe Baroke and the final heir, may be put away in my Hibernal Den for safe keeping when this is all over (of course, this doesn't count my Pinkerlocke crew) EDIT: Ack, I forgot names! Baby A is Nahena, Baby B is Koh and Baby C is Mehrana (hah, named after her dad. Do you know which kid I'm rooting for?)

And lucky me got heads for both of them haha.
Amnity curled in the nest within the wall of the lair they had taken over, curled around two hatchlings, both boys. The slept against her sides, carefully covered by her wings. She was surprised to get both a Mirror and a Skydancer in her brood of two, and Coagulation was overjoyed at having two sons to dote on. The problem was that no one knew Amnity even had a nest with Coagulation. The two managed to convince the rest of the group out of sheer luck to make this lair their base of operation since many dragons lived around it, keeping the beastclans away for the most part, and it worked well for their crew. While the others agreed, Baroke was reluctant. He gave in once the others reminded him it was safe here. And, out of sheer luck, they hadn't found the earth artifact they needed yet, giving them no reason to move. Coagulation returned to Amnity and their hatchlings. "I told them we had a surprise for them," He said, voice wavering with nervousness. "Do you think that was really the best thing to say?" Amnity replied, her voice growing strained with a new-found worry. How would her father react? What about Baroke? She knew they were both somewhat hot-headed. "It'll be fine," Coagulation said, nuzzling Amnity. "I promise I won't let anything happen." As if on cue, Cormac poked his head in the crevice, followed by Ferro, Lai, and finally Baroke. Amnity would have found the sudden mass of heads comical if it weren't for the fact that she were about to reveal the fact she had hidden eggs from them this whole time. "So, what's the surprise?" Cormac asked, tilting his head to the side. Amnity drew in a shaky breath then pulled her wings from her sides. Her sleeping hatchlings squeaked with unhappyness as the warmth of their mother's wings left them. Amnity watched as all eyes trained on the hatchlings and almost bugged out of their respective skulls. "Well this certainly explains a lot..." Cormac said in a soft yet surprised voice. "Oh dieties above!" Baroke growled, facepalming before he pulled out of the crevice. "Oh! Grandkids!" Lai said in her usual perky voice, crawling her way into the den and over to Amnity's side. She picked up the mirror. "Aw, you look just like your dad!" "BLOOD CLOT!" Ferro growled. "How dare you! Who gave you the permission to have a nest with my daughter??" Coagulation flinched, but quickly straitened up. "A-Amnity did..." He said lamely. Ferro glared at Amnity and snorted, before pulling his way out of the crevice and wandering off, grumbling to himself. Amnity sighed and gathered up her now crying Skydancer son before looking over at her mom. "You're not mad?" She asked in a quiet voice. "Ah, what's done is done!" Lai said with a sad smile. "I'm just disappointed you didn't tell us sooner." "Sorry..." Amnity said. The soft rustling of bedding reminded Amnity that Cormac had also remained. He crawled over and gently took the Skydancer baby from his adopted sister. "So I'm an uncle now?" He mumbled. Amnity nodded. Coagulation came over to Amnity's side and cuddled up next to her, now smiling. Well, I didn't get to my double post, but today we're getting a new heir!

Talkora grinned as she woke in the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't a happy grin, but rather one of blood lust. Her pupils were slim and scanning her family. She licked her lips and slid her way away from then, seeking out her mother in a different part of their lair.

"Oh mother!" She called out, voice a maniacal whisper. "It's time to choose the next one!"

Aegis awoke from her own slumber and gave a dead-pan face to her daughter. "Calm yourself, we can't wake Mehrune." She said, getting up. "You have to handle this with delicacy, I'll handle getting the subjects away from him."

Talkora watched as Aegis slithered out of the room. Her eyes narrowed but she did nothing as Aegis went to whisk away her children.

Aegis crept into the room where Mehrune slept with the four spiral children curled around him. She pulled a small rag from her robe and draped it over Mehrune's face. She watched as he stirred briefly from being touched, but the drugs on the rag quickly sunk him back into sleep. She then raised her grandchildren from their sleep, no expression playing on her face.

The four spirals woke in confusion. "What's happening?" Raiga asked, curling around his younger siblings, even though they were all nearly the same size at this point.

"Talkora wants to take you out for training." Aegis said simply.

"At this hour in the morning??" Mahrana spat, stretching out.

"Don't question it," Aegis snorted. "Come. Follow."

"Wait, what about dad?" Nahena asked.

"Leave him to sleep, Talkora and I will train you. Let your father rest."

~~~
"Raiga, Nahena," Talkora called in a sing-songy voice once they were a fair way away from the lair. "Come with me you two! We have some work to do!!"
Raiga looked at Nahena and quirked a brow, but the younger dragoness shrugged. They followed their mother into the brush, Raiga looking over his shoulder at Aegis with Koh and Mehrana before disappearing into the brush.
Koh and Mehrana stayed with Aegis, remaining quiet. "What are they doing?" Koh finally dared to ask after a few moments.
"Shh..." Aegis muttered. "Be quiet."
After a few moments, Nahena burst through the brush covered in blood. Her pupils were restricted to slits and her lips drawn back. Aegis lurched forward and grabbed Nahena, restraining her and pressing the sleeve of her robe over her face. Nahena fell limp.
"What?" Koh barked. "What's going on?!"
"Koh an Mehranaaaa" Talkora sang out from the brush.
"Go," Aegis hissed. "Now!"
When the two dragons went into the brush, they found the fallen body of their brother with their mother wrapped around it. She grinned at them.
"Wh-what happened to Raiga?" Koh shrieked.
Talkora snorted. "Doesn't matter. Fight each other."
"What?" Koh asked.
But without warning, Mehrana, who had been oddly quiet, attacked him viciously. Within minutes, and much to Talkora's joy, Mehrana had overpowered Koh and killed him. Talkora laughed maniacally. "I've taught you girls well!" She shouted with a huge laugh. "Your brothers were weak, probably taking after your dad!"
Mehrana looked up from Koh's body, his blood on her face. "Mother," She said, emotionless. "I have to ask why?"
Talkora grinned. "Your great grandmother wanted a legacy of strong dragons," She said. "You or your sister will carry this on for the next generation! Now, fight her!"
Mehrana leapt from the brush and pounced on Nahena, who had only just recovered from being drugged from Aegis. However, Nahena was quick on her feet, and quickly countered Mehrana. The two scrapped and clawed at one another, teeth biting wounds that drew blood in massive amounts. Nahena took control rather quickly, and pinned her sister to the ground. She was ready to issue the finishing bite, but Mehrana struggled out of her grasp and ran.
“Come back here you coward!” Nahena snarled, beginning to give chase, but Talkora came forth and stopped her.
“Let her go, she’ll bleed out before the night’s over!” Talkora cackled. “Nahena, you’re the heir!”
Aegis watched on. “Let’s get home before Mehrune awakens.” She said after a moment. “And let’s prepare Nahena to be the next Bloodwing.
~~~

Mehrune woke up to a hand on his face.

“Honey,” Talkora said, an odd emotion in her voice. “There’s been a terrible accident.”

DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAA

This got kind of darker all of a sudden, but I almost want to evolve the Bloodwings into a cult haha. Maybe Aegis trained Talkora and told her what was really up and why her siblings had to die, maybe that’s why Talkora’s so messed up. Or maybe they’re just all on drugs who knows.

So we got Nahena as the heir, and funnily enough all of the heirs have been female so far. Odd, maybe it’s destiny. At least I have all gene upgrades. Now I just need to get a breed upgrade holy moly.

I'm not sure I want to exalt Mehrana though. She's like... too nice to exalt. If anyone wants to claim her, you can! I'll hold onto her for a few days. I'll write up some lore for her as well, if you want that!

~~~
"Raiga, Nahena," Talkora called in a sing-songy voice once they were a fair way away from the lair. "Come with me you two! We have some work to do!!"
Raiga looked at Nahena and quirked a brow, but the younger dragoness shrugged. They followed their mother into the brush, Raiga looking over his shoulder at Aegis with Koh and Mehrana before disappearing into the brush.
Koh and Mehrana stayed with Aegis, remaining quiet. "What are they doing?" Koh finally dared to ask after a few moments.
"Shh..." Aegis muttered. "Be quiet."
After a few moments, Nahena burst through the brush covered in blood. Her pupils were restricted to slits and her lips drawn back. Aegis lurched forward and grabbed Nahena, restraining her and pressing the sleeve of her robe over her face. Nahena fell limp.
"What?" Koh barked. "What's going on?!"
"Koh an Mehranaaaa" Talkora sang out from the brush.
"Go," Aegis hissed. "Now!"
When the two dragons went into the brush, they found the fallen body of their brother with their mother wrapped around it. She grinned at them.
"Wh-what happened to Raiga?" Koh shrieked.
Talkora snorted. "Doesn't matter. Fight each other."
"What?" Koh asked.
But without warning, Mehrana, who had been oddly quiet, attacked him viciously. Within minutes, and much to Talkora's joy, Mehrana had overpowered Koh and killed him. Talkora laughed maniacally. "I've taught you girls well!" She shouted with a huge laugh. "Your brothers were weak, probably taking after your dad!"
Mehrana looked up from Koh's body, his blood on her face. "Mother," She said, emotionless. "I have to ask why?"
Talkora grinned. "Your great grandmother wanted a legacy of strong dragons," She said. "You or your sister will carry this on for the next generation! Now, fight her!"
Mehrana leapt from the brush and pounced on Nahena, who had only just recovered from being drugged from Aegis. However, Nahena was quick on her feet, and quickly countered Mehrana. The two scrapped and clawed at one another, teeth biting wounds that drew blood in massive amounts. Nahena took control rather quickly, and pinned her sister to the ground. She was ready to issue the finishing bite, but Mehrana struggled out of her grasp and ran.
“Come back here you coward!” Nahena snarled, beginning to give chase, but Talkora came forth and stopped her.
“Let her go, she’ll bleed out before the night’s over!” Talkora cackled. “Nahena, you’re the heir!”
Aegis watched on. “Let’s get home before Mehrune awakens.” She said after a moment. “And let’s prepare Nahena to be the next Bloodwing.
~~~

Mehrana replied. "I doubt your clan would want to take me in, and I want no more of this Bloodwing business." She scoffed. The pearlcatcher nodded and laid a hand on Mehrana's shoulder. "You don't know how forgiving our queen is, but if you wish to leave, you may." She said. Mehrana merely nodded. "I'll find a new clan out there. A brand new start where no one will know my past." The pearlcatcher nodded. "That's wise, young one. I wish you the best, you are destined for great things." Mehrana gave a good natured giggle and took off, leaving the Crystalspine reaches behind. So, Nahena marched over to the bar and took a seat. "Good ev'ning, milady," A nocturne said from the other side of the bar. "Welcome to Vampiras, we specialize in drinks mixed with blood. What can I get ya?" Nahena looked at the options. "Hmm... how about Blooming Strangler?" She asked. "Ah, a classic. The classic coppery taste of serpents blood with sweet leafy tones, mixed with hibiscus to have a sweet bite," The nocturne droned before giving her a ruby-red looking drink. She took a lick from it, realizing it wasn't far off from its description. She realized there'd be nothing like this back near her home, and she sighed heavily. She took slow sips, wanting to savor the drink. She wouldn't be getting a second one, thinking that two cups of blood drink may be too much. She tended to get... wild when she had too much blood. Someone fell heavily into the seat next to her. "One Poisonous Toridae, large..." He muttered. Nahena glanced over to see a rather nicely dressed Skydancer. He was dressed like a doctor, though his outfit was a little ruffled. There was blood dried on his talons. "Yeah... lost another one," He said with a hoarse laugh. Nahena looked at him out of the corner of her eye. He must be a regular if the nocturne could call him by name so easily. Daskin... an interesting name. "Office, huh? What's an office man like you doing in these parts?" Nahena drawled out as the large glass of blue-ish brown Toridae drink was placed on the counter in front of the Skydancer. "Pah, only if you knew what I did for a living." Daskin replied. "Something to do with blood, telling by your claws," Nahena said, licking her lips on reflex. "Does blood turn you on?" Daskin half joked. "Well, if you must know, I'm a bloodletter. Dragons pay me to make them bleed." "Sounds masochistic." Nahena said simply. "Perhaps, but some believe it heals them of illness. Sometimes it does. Sometimes permanently." Daskin explained. He then gave her a sigh look. "I don't suppose you've ever killed another dragon before." "What if I have?" Nahena drawled out. Daskin gave her a look. "I've killed my own siblings," Nahena continued. "On the order of my mother." "Barbaric," Daskin said with a grin. "Didn't think anyone could be more dark-ages than a bloodletter." Nahena grinned. She liked this Skydancer a lot. "Most dragons scream and run if you tell them you've killed." Daskin laughed. "That's a funny joke. You must know a lot of cowards." He took a long drink from his Poisonous Toridae cocktail. Nahena decided to guzzle down her Blooming Strangler and grinned, the blood drink dripping from her chin before she licked her lips. "Even drink like a barbarian." Daskin commented. "Would you'd be good cleaning up for me at my 'office'?" Nahena snorted. "Maybe, maybe not. I haven't tasted dragon blood since my siblings." Daskin took another long swig from his drink. "Perhaps we should rectify that," he said, putting his now nearly empty glass back on the counter. "Come on, lets go find some sick dragons." "Nah, not sick ones," Nahena said. "What about those street fighters?" Daskin grinned. "Ah, I get you. Grab the loser?" Nahena nodded. "The weak don't deserve to live." ~~~ "You're really a freaky one, you know that?" Daskin said with a grin as the pair emerged from the alleyway. "I didn't think I'd find another 'vampire' out here." "Hmph. I'm not a vampire, just a wild child," Nahena said with a grin. Daskin gave her a look and gave a slight laugh. "Wild child? Yeah, sure." Nahena snorted, but her grin didn't falter. "Let's get out of here before someone finds the body. We can go back to my place!" Daskin grinned. "Wow, taking me home on the first night? Bold, aren't we?" "Only if you saw this as a date." ~~~ When Nahena returned home with Daskin, none of her clan were awake. They were all passed out in their respective chambers. Nahena bolted in and ran to her rather spacious chamber, Daskin scooting in after her. She took her woodmask off and flung it in the corner. "Oh, I get to see your face now?" Daskin said softly. "Scandelous." The way he said it sent shivers down Nahena's spine. "Hey, did I ever catch your name, by the way?" "Oh, sorry." Nahena said. "My name is Nahena. Nahena of the Bloodwings." "Ooooh, a surname to fit your vampirism, nice." Daskin joked. Nahena grinned. "I am not a vampire!" "Oh, we'll see about that," Daskin said, coming close and whisking Nahena up in his arms. "You flirt," She said as he began caressing her. ~~~ Nahena woke the next morning, wrapped up in Daskin's arms, his wings curled around her. She snuggled into his chest. She never expected this to happen and was glad to have found her mate, even if they may have gone a little nuts on it with the killing and all. Sunlight filtered through the top of the lair onto them. "Well, I guess you aren't a vampire. The light didn't turn you to ash..." Daskin muttered, voice thick with sleep. Nahena stuck out her tongue at him. “So what now?” Daskin asked. “Could you stay?” She asked. “It’s a longer walk to my place of practice….” Dasking drawled out. “But I guess.”
They gave me two eggs, by the way. "You're really a freaky one, you know that?" Daskin said with a grin as the pair emerged from the alleyway. "I didn't think I'd find another 'vampire' out here."

"Hmph. I'm not a vampire, just a wild child," Nahena said with a grin.

Daskin gave her a look and gave a slight laugh. "Wild child? Yeah, sure."

Nahena snorted, but her grin didn't falter. "Let's get out of here before someone finds the body. We can go back to my place!"

Daskin grinned. "Wow, taking me home on the first night? Bold, aren't we?"

"Only if you saw this as a date."
~~~
When Nahena returned home with Daskin, none of her clan were awake. They were all passed out in their respective chambers. Nahena bolted in and ran to her rather spacious chamber, Daskin scooting in after her. She took her woodmask off and flung it in the corner.
"Oh, I get to see your face now?" Daskin said softly. "Scandelous."
The way he said it sent shivers down Nahena's spine.
"Hey, did I ever catch your name, by the way?"
"Oh, sorry." Nahena said. "My name is Nahena. Nahena of the Bloodwings."
"Ooooh, a surname to fit your vampirism, nice." Daskin joked.
Nahena grinned. "I am not a vampire!"
"Oh, we'll see about that," Daskin said, coming close and whisking Nahena up in his arms.
"You flirt," She said as he began caressing her.
~~~

Nahena woke the next morning, wrapped up in Daskin's arms, his wings curled around her.
