Most dragons would expect one of the famous Light ambassadors on Epifanio's side, but he's always been a dragon to defy expectations. His Maned Cerdae listens to the name Aurelio, always sticks close to his side, and carries a intricately woven basket filled with books. Both of them live just outside the Crystal Palace, so the grounds are even enough for the Cerdae to get everywhere; Epifanio himself is not huge on flying, so they're rarely seperated for long.
One of their favourite pasttimes is traversing the desert just before dawnbreak, waiting for the sun to rise on the horizon, to read in its brilliant light.

Why a Loga? Because who thought it was a good idea to exchange these creatures on a second anniversary? But, when the time comes Bidens will be prepared. It also helps that the fins on this creature match with his blazing personality and the Loga is actually very good translating Fae so it is a good companion for him. (Let's hope he doesn't give him away too soon!)

For the second anniversary it is customary to exchange loga. No one is sure who thought this tradition was a good idea. (2015 Anniversary Familiar)

i choose the golden kitsune, because it would be a good protector, and looks like it has mystical powers. its fur shines gold, like light, and i think its colors and apparel match the dragon pretty well.
A shining gold fox that will only deign to accompany the wealthiest of dragons.

I would choose a Living Sculpture for him. He found them on an expedition led into the Hewn City, lost among rubble and alone, and they have been his stalwart companion ever since. They act as a spy, an undetectable extra pair of ears, making sure diplomatic visitors to the clan aren't plotting something foul where they believe no one can overhear them.
This marble sculpture moves to block the path of anyone trying to pass by.

[item=Wetland Unicorn]
Suncatcher's familiar is Daisy, a Wetland Unicorn. The little fae spends most of his time in the library, but when he goes out, he's always accompanied by Daisy. He often perches on her back while they travel, which coincidentally allows him to read during long walks. His days off are often spent outside with her, reading aloud to her from one of his books while she grazes in shallow ponds or dozes in the grass.
Anyone who frequents the Mire knows that Wetland Unicorns are skilled magical combatants, and Daisy is no different. Suncatcher's home near the Hewn City is often dangerous, and the librarian shies away from combat. When they come upon an enemy, Daisy is quick to protect her master by contusing the interloper and healing Suncatcher if he's unfortunate enough to be injured.

I was tempted to pair him with a Coppercoil Creeper at first, as I thought its gold coloration and bright aqua accents looked great with him, and I thought the idea of a little mechanical spider helper in the library was adorable. But in the end, I think the Wetland Unicorn was the better choice; they look great together, and I love the little story idea I had for them.

The long legs of this unicorn allow it to walk along the bottom of shallow swamp beds, enabling it to easily graze on the aquatic plantlife.

What sort of companion is suitable for a being of knowledge and light, a gold-lined manuscript come to life? Limn enjoys being amongst other dragons, and learning about them, expanding the stores of his wisdom. Dragons come to him for advice, scholars come for research, and hatchlings come to listen to fables and tales that they have never heard before. Limn welcomes them all, as it's a relationship of mutual benefits. Limn learns how to be a dragon, and teaches others about whatever they want to know.
But at the end of the day, when the sun sets over the Hewn City and the last hatchling is called back to his mother's side, Limn settles amongst the quiet and peace of those he loves best: books, manuscripts and scrolls. His steadfast companion is an ensorcelled volume, which had been his companion on a dusty high shelf for ages, that he ensorcelled shortly after awakening. The volume helps Limn record his thoughts, the dragons he met that day, and the progress of his research.

Because Limn longs for another just like him, and so researches to discover what magic or strange twist of fate transformed him from a manuscript to a dragon. He is determined to find it, because he well knows that if something happened once, it can happen again.
And in the meantime, the ensorcelled volume waits patiently, because it knows that if anyone can find an answer, it's Limn. And it longs for that day, and the chance to finally be reunited with Limn, in a whole new chapter of their lives.

Vexillux himself, through a deep affinity with Light magic, is able to photosynthesize to a certain extent (although not quite as well as a dragon with a similar connection to Nature would). He climbs on top of the pillar to sunbathe.
