Recommended Mods

Because our server is mostly void (Nether and End generate normally), you may find that it runs a bit faster than a normal world. I personally found the FPS gain sufficient to run a shader pack, though I can't say what (if any) gain you'll experience on your own machine. That being said, here is a list of clientside mods that I've found useful on Sky Rising:

This list is primarily for short headcannons about how the particulars of life on Sky Rising works. Feel free to ping me with a new one!

• The name of the ship at spawn is Experiencing A Significant Gravitas Shortfall, after the Culture ship of the same name.
  
• Sornieth has a massive debris field around it, a result of early clashes between deities. These ore-rich asteroids are occasionally towed in by the station using ~magic~ (and some are sentient?).
  
• The station itself was once largely automated, and seems to be a result of Second Age engineering. Bits of it have literally floated off with time, due to weakening magical tethers
  
• The station and ship are both kept afloat by harvesting atmospheric magic.
  
• Players are, according to lore, particularly powerful and/or beloved exalted dragons.
  
• Earth dragons are particularly uncomfortable up in the Sky Rising colony, at least at first (various)
  
• Each island contains a tiny shard of the Pillar. The chunk's Shade-warding magic helps to protect its occupants. (Aradium)

Spike Times
These are times when we expect a large number of players to be on. In addition, there's (almost) always a staffer online for a spike. Those on the general pinglist will be alerted whenever a spike starts up. If you like playing with a large number of players, make sure you try out a spike! Times based on FR site clock.


Peak Pinglist
This pinglist will be used when server population peaks, and can be used by any player while the online population is greater than 5--if you like to play in a group, consider being added!
