A little tale of gambling and a question for you at the very end Last week's roundsey prizes had me rolling on the floor in excitement as I love to [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3067081#post_3067081]collect the colour rose[/url]. One of my closest friends also collects cottoncandy. Being the clowns that we are, we figured that we had probably best atleast enter the prize pool and give ourselves a good shot at winning the dragons outright, just incase whover won them wasn't willing to sell. We did the maths and decided that, with a x25 skin prize amongst the three dragon prizes, we needed to split up our tickets as much as possible. Since, if one person had all the tickets they were almost guaranteed a prize but with a 25/28 chance of that prize being a skin the odds weren't looking good for that prize being a dragon. Fortunately for us, we have some very amazing friends who were willing to let us fund them purchasing tickets on our behalf, in the agreement that if any of them won the dragon prize it would go to us (either to keep or hopefully swap) In the end we split our tickets as follows: x10 people with 22,222 tickets each x4 people with 30k tickets each x1 person with 81k tickets this gave us a grand total of approx. 423k tickets between the 15 users involved we won a grand total of 7 UMA prizes and .... 0 dragon prizes >.< I've made [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/den/73956/988554]very good use of my skin prizes[/url] This was obviously not that goal. Fortunately, a friend outside of the above group won the rose and was very kindly willing to sell him to me so he still made it home to me in the end [center] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/101203047][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/1012031/101203047_350.png[/img][/url] even if he did end up in total costing double what his twin brother cost [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/67404288][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/674043/67404288_350.png[/img][/url][/center] so? worth it in the end? alls well that ends well so I've got to say yes c: [b] anyway I'm intrigued to know the most number of tickets people have put in and not won a prize or the smallest number of tickets that they've put in and won a prize.[/b] for me personally, I put in 22k tickets and didn't get anything so that's my biggest loss (I put in 22k for the last triple rose roundsey and got a flower box so even less lucky this time)

I put in just 10 every week and I've won twice now, though neither has been a dragon prize.

...okay, looks like I've only won three times actually, but I thought the fourth prize was a dud so this is fine!

have I won more than I've put in? no, not at all, but maybe one day I'll get a dragon and that would make it all worth it haha (not to keep, to auction away, but that could totally fund like all of my projects, so!!)

the most i ever put in is 50-100 for light sprite when it comes up.

i want it, but not enough to waste all my treasure to win nothing bc it would turn me into a villain otherwise LOL

you certainly have a stronger resolve than i do (saying positively, of course). i'd be transforming into a foul beast personally

I won the skin with 50 tickets and I was genuinely shocked to see the message in my inbox that I got anything.
That raffle was wild tbh, solely because of how contested it was.

The most I have bought is 5k, and luckily, it worked out! Glad you did get your dragon in the end.

I don't know how prizes are distributed if it's dragons first or all winners in a pool first, if it's the latter then I believe beyond a amount there is no point in more tickets if your chance of a prize is very high. I don't know if the developers have ever divulged this information or ever will, it would be a good thing to know for ticket habbits. Splitting tickets is definitely a good idea though!

@arawoods that's a pretty impressive haul with only up to 25 tickets at a time. I only ever enter when it's triple rose time but maybe i should be dumping in 10-20 each time instead

@Dullanyan honestly I think I'm slightly feral for rose in general so I couldn't have turned into more of a foul beast :') i think it helps that building my rose collection is my only real focus on FR so I don't mind losing a bit to get there. It was quite fun arranging the tickets with all of my friends and recalcuating the odds every so often - I think just have to try see the good side of it

@Asmo congrats on your win c: I'm not quite sure what the final ticket numbers were but we accounted for around 33-25% of them at various points. All of the people that put in tickets for us don't normally put in tickets (or maybe a couple of them will put in 1-2k) so I think that's partly why the numbers went so high and it seemed so contested.

I'd also love to know whether it's one big prize pool or dragons/high value prizes first. I do know that the dragons take a couple of minutes to generate - I wonder if you can tell from the PM timestamps.

That is a lot of money and I'm glad he wound up with you in the end at the cost of your bank account! He's so pretty (as is his brother)

This compilation of roundsey dragons thread sometimes has people state how many tickets they bought when they won for those interested!

I usually buy 100 tickets, I've won a couple of eggs. :)
