Hm... I think the closest I have is a weird found family trio that consists of a dangerous information broker (
Desire), a mercenary for hire (
Stratus), and a silly little guy who can't take care of himself because he's too busy living in an imaginary world (
Paracosm). 2/3 of these dragons can and will make you disappear (usually if it puts their group at risk), and the last one seems innocent, but he knowingly helps the other two dissect the psyche of clients and potential targets. So uh... a mix of "wait that's not good" and "aw but they're wholesome and care about each other :)"
I also have a group of pirates called the
Red Tide that look scary and dangerous on the outside, and they are, but they're
also a big found family dynamic. Not sure how well they fit the creepy/disturbing but wholesome vibe, but there's a
cursed Gaoler who looks somewhat like an eldritch horror, but he's actually a big softie. Also a
poison-obsessed Nocturne, who's also a great chef (and for some reason everyone has complete trust that he won't poison them all). Oh yeah, and a
cyborg who's more of a robot, who makes weapons and is a weapon himself, but also has a deep appreciation for all living things and is surprisingly compassionate despite his cold demeanor. There's a bunch of weirdos on that ship /affectionate
The last ones I can think of that
kinda fit are:
Sardonyx, who collects cursed objects and subsequently is cursed because of it. He's generally regarded as a cryptid of some sort, mysteriously appearing in the dead of night to procure any cursed possessions that are discovered. He's plagued by horrific visions, but is unbothered by them, and is just having a great time collecting stuff. As an added bonus, he's saving lives by safely securing dangerous artifacts before they can hurt anyone. Or, hurt anyone else, anyway.
Fade, a dragon who works in a supposedly haunted museum, usually serving tea to guests. She doesn't speak, has a very unsettling presence, and is often followed by strange shadows. There's definitely something...
off, about her, but she seems to really like the museum's owners, and is happy to help maintain the building and tend to its guests.
