Notes:
  • Cove was cursed by something or someone, taking his eyesight and turning his mane into tentacles
  • He often uses his tentacles to feel around and get oriented, or inspect new things
  • Despite being Fireborn, Cove is semi-aquatic due to his curse, and needs to spend plenty of time underwater in order to survive
  • When their ship is sailing the skies instead of the seas, Cove spends most of his time below-deck in the large aquarium that was made specifically for him and the crew's other aquatic companions, both because he needs the water, and because being blind and flightless makes being in the sky kinda scary
  • He joined the crew whilst on his hunt for something or someone to undo his curse, but that goal has become less and less of a priority for him as he grows to enjoy life as a pirate and he begins feeling at home with his crewmates
  • During his time underwater, Cove befriended a Coast Charger, and named her "Torrent"
  • Torrent usually follows the ship and scouts underwater for any possible obstacles or threats
  • Despite his somewhat scary and unsettling appearance, Cove is a gentle soul, and loves cuddles. A gentle giant through and through
  • Being big and physically strong, Cove often helps with anything requiring some heavy lifting—his tentacles are actually quite handy for holding onto things, which has given him a little appreciation for his curse
