Sardonyx

Sardonyx is an odd dragon. He mostly keeps to himself, although when he does appear, it's usually in the dead of night. He collects and contains cursed objects of all shapes and sizes, as he has a strange fascination with them. This also has the added side effect of protecting others from potentially catastrophic curses, so it's usually in everyone's best interest to relinquish any cursed possessions found to him.

Some dragons are concerned Sar is trying to study these cursed objects in order to place curses on others, while others think it's just plain dangerous for one dragon to have so many malevolent items. There are also rumours of Sar himself being cursed, and his obsessive collecting and studying is an attempt at finding a cure.

In reality, he just thinks they're incredibly interesting, and since dragons rarely want to hold onto cursed objects, it's usually not that hard to get his talons on them so long as he can find them. He is cursed, a result from several of the objects he's collected, but it's a small price to pay in his eyes, and even finds ways to use his curses to his advantage at times. Sar is often able to find ways of (more or less) safely using cursed objects, and in fact almost always has multiple cursed possessions on him at all times. The most notable of which is the dark crystal orb he keeps with him; he's able to use it to locate other cursed objects, which is how he manages to show up out of the blue whenever someone comes across a new cursed object.

Using this miasma crystal has its drawbacks, as it's cursed to afflict nightmarish horrors upon its user. Luckily, said horrors are nothing but illusionary visions that would drive most to madness—but not Sardonyx. He thinks they're kinda cool, if a bit annoying at times, and has long since learned how to differentiate between the horrors of despair haunting his mind and reality. It does make socializing hard, since everyone appears to be a horrific, twisted creature to his cursed perspective, but hey, at least he's never lonely; the shadow demons that plague him and the eyes covering everything always keep him company. A small price to pay for more cursed objects!
