It's a tie between Fae, Skydancers, and Wildclaws for me
The rantings of an upjumped zealot make for tedious listening. His ilk serves no role in what is to come. Only my death will staunch the flood of destruction... A task still far beyond your means. If you would face me, seek me out and I shall allow it.
But heed the zealot's lesson well...
When the weak court death, they find it.

am I the only one who likes the baby obelisk pose.

I like them well enough. they're not in my top tier of hatchlings (those would be coatls, aethers, and undertides) but they're cute
I'm also surprised at all the wildclaw hatchling hate.

Personally I'm not the biggest fan of baby Skydancers, since their pose isn't really that interesting to me. (Dis)honorable mention goes to baby Guardians!

In regards to the obelisk pose. I have one baby obelisk, and
her name is Cypher, and she is breaking (dancing), and her image is of her striking a pose. This entire mini headcanon was inspired by her lucky first scatter and her ID. XD
Anyway, I believe I like all the permababies. I used to not like some as much, but then they all accidentally grew on me. I kinda hope to eventually have one of each.

Tundra, Fae, Mirror, Wildclaw, Skydancer
Thos are the only one's I'm meh on, in order of most to least dislike.

Sandsurge babies. I'm not huge on Auraboa, Fae, or Imperial babies either, but Sandsurges were the first one that came to mind. Probably because I love the adults so much, it makes the baby pose all the more disappointing.

Such a downgrade. I'm not even sure what's bothering me... the pose, maybe?
Still don't hate them though, I'm sure with the right genes I could see myself with a baby Sandsurge.
This also made me realize there's a difference between Sandsurge M and F tails... the final two spines are connected via membrane on females, but completely disconnected on males

I love the Obelisk babies! Better than the adults, honestly. The body proportions are just awkward most of the time on adults, but for the babies it works perfectly!

You cannot convince me that the baby is inferior in any way to the adults.

there isn’t any hatchling art i hate. i do not care for Guardian (their tails look like a tongue), Gaoler (criminally offensive side-eye), or Sandsurge (ur telling me a shrimp fried this rice???) hatchling art, though, at least enough to know i likely won’t have permababies of them. but i think it all comes down to taste.
