But a fear of death deep-rooted in the necromancer had them seeking out undeath, an escape from an otherwise certain fate. A deal was struck with a desperate lich, a change for a change. Returning to life as a revenant, the necromancer was quick to finish their end of the deal, and rescue the lich from a slow consumption by the shade. Both outcasts weakened from their experiences, both stick together at all costs. Keeping their heads down and hiding their revealing marks from Mother go a long way in keeping them both safe from being found. For now.
