[i]She ponders your question for a moment, then glances around to make sure her clanmates aren't near enough to hear, and leans in a little closer, looking down at the ground.[/i] "Really, though, I think children should never be put into harm's way. They're too young - they need to have a positive figure in their lives to protect and teach them the ways of the world. This world is too dangerous to let them learn that the hard way." [i]Her voice is low, and she appears to be a bit uncomfortable with the conversation, but adds,[/i] "I saw too many of my own children taken away from me to train to be soldiers at far too young of an age, and never saw them again. I don't wish this upon any parent, and will do my best to make sure it never happens under my watch." Often there would be Clan dragons coming to me with a story or two of their own. Sometimes it was something old that stuck with them, sometimes it was something that just happened that they felt needed to be added into the Archive. No matter how minuscule the story, I document it." "There are so many tales I could tell you. The tale of Rowan and how he fought his way out of the Plaguelands, The tragic tale of Salem and the ordeal she had to face to end up where she is now, the tale of Midas who thought she needed riches and was mistaken, but those are stories for another time. I'll stick to something lighthearted for now." "There was a rather mysterious Imperial that stayed with us for a long time. His name was Zeramyr (See [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/44054136]Bastion[/url]'s Bio for a picture). He has since left our clan. This event happened when our clan heir, Tyrian, was just a hatchling. He was an energetic little thing." "At one point, he got it stuck in his head that he was going to make Zeramyr laugh. Now, one of the dragons from the clan had even so much as crack a smile. Tyrian pulled out all the stops, asking others from the clan what makes them laugh. He tried every joke he could get the others to tell him, he got no reaction from the stoic Imperial, not even a chuckle to make him go away." "Then came a day where Tyrian and one of his siblings, who had since gone off to serve Gladekeeper like many of Azure's other kids, were playing with each other and Zeramyr happened to be walking by. Tyrian and his sibling were doing voices at each other. From the accounts I've heard of this, I don't even think he was paying attention, he just heard Tyrian belt out in the deepest voice his tiny hatchling body can muster. 'I am Viridian! I am the strongest Guardian!' And then attempt a fierce roar, that didn't come out as he had intended. He was imitating our Guardian, the clan's co-founder who was like a grandfather to him." "We don't know what exactly triggered it, and Zeramyr tried to keep it in, but he burst out laughing. It was quite a sight to see the facade of such a normally composed Imperial break. Tyrian was overjoyed and he still considers it a point of pride today that he was able to make such a composed Imperial laugh, although his hobby of choice now is painting and not comedy." But it's also so much more than that! The steeping of the tea, the peace that it brings me, and the joy that I bring patrons of my shop. When I first took the job, I had to take whole week off for every long-haul flight I made, and by that I mean long distances between flights." He continued with a wink and a smug look. "But guess who's the fastest and the most efficient now? That boy! ME!
