Flight Rising Discussion

It was so hard coming up with names for everyone! I started by going with names that fit and ended by naming them after random YouTube commenters. I'm pretty sure I have a full spectrum of names, you could make a game out of looking to see if your name is in my Bestiary.

Of the small community who even names their familiars, how did you name yours? Did you end up going through sports team rosters like I did? What names are you most proud of? Show me!

I haven't named all (or even most) of mine, but I'm starting to assign permanent familiars to each of my dragons and naming those. For non-sapient creatures I go by what the dragon would have named them, so they vary a lot, and for beastclans I..... don't really know yet. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

i normally dont name my familiars unless i have a task to name a familiar that day. here's some of my best names.... I named all my familiars Jeff. Not my most creative move, but I'm committed now

I usually don't name mine (coming up with names is hard). If I get the pursuit I often skip it, or just name someone "asdf" and then remove it afterwards. A few who I do have properly named: Jimbob [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/static/cms/familiar/art/52125.png[/img] Meteion (for fandragon purposes) [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/static/cms/familiar/art/3070.png[/img] oO (like the emoticon o.O) [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/static/cms/familiar/art/48169.png[/img] Melting Love (game reference) [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/static/cms/familiar/art/18440.png[/img]

Mine are all named because I hate things to be unnamed. I don't have a name scheme or anything, I just stick on whatever occurs to me at the time. My fandragons have something thematically appropriate, my veilspuns have something connected to the songs they're named for, my elemental familiars have names attuned to their elements and if all that fails they'll be named Bob or Brian or Alice because why not.

If there's any way they can have a stupid pun name, they have it.

That's awesome, I love seeing people taking the time to name all of their familiars (even though I don't)! Only a few of mine have names: the Dusk Fuiran bonded to Lord Edge here is named [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daikatana]Daikatana[/url], because Lord Edge is a mall ninja moron (affectionate). I name some of them. It's usually based on what it looks like. For example, my raptorik freebooter is named buckle.
