Friday's daily activity is up and ready to go! For anyone who wants to snag that extra raffle ticket but is posting before the dev's unveil this year's prank, just a vauge reference to "something weird going on" is perfectly acceptable.

The instant the chocolate was handed over to her, the Imperial took a large bite, before pausing. Frowning, she looked down at the hollow chocolate in her claws to see a piece of paper poking out of it. Or to be more exact, half a piece of paper. "Huh..." she muttered, reaching a talon into her mouth and tugging. "Hey Fang, give me some help here?" she asked. The Scythe Kamaitachi reached a scythed limb into her mouth, prying before extracting a chocolate-coated piece of paper. She rubbed it off, squinting to read it. "Huh, is this edible?" she asked, before looking up to notice the stall owners looking just as confused. "So you don't even know where this came from...?" she muttered as she read. "'A quarrel within your clan must be resolved now, or it will grow into a greater conflict.' Huh." She tapped her chin. "Well...we have been kind of neglecting our brother, haven't we? We all ran off without even asking him what he wanted to do. Come on, Fang!" she declared. "The weird mysterious chocolate fortune is right! We should go apologize to our brother for leaving him behind before this gets worse!"

But by the time the pair were standing in front of an excitable Tundra's chocolate booth, the scroll had been entirely forgotten. [color=transparent]_____[/color]Pië will use that to excuse choosing a chocolate based on 'aura' rather than logic. When he bit into it, the best he could do was not to spit it out all over his mate. [color=transparent]_____[/color]"Urgh, oh-" [color=transparent]_____[/color]"Hm?" Laug snapped out of her dreamy state as she relished in her own chocolate, a subtle creamy flavour with notes of seaweed, perfect for a Coatl. "Is yours no good?" [color=transparent]_____[/color]"That's-" Pië coughed, cleared his throat, and coughed again. "An u-understatement." [color=transparent]_____[/color]"What's wrong with it??" [color=transparent]_____[/color]"Spicy!" [color=transparent]_____[/color]Both Pië and Laug were known to quite enjoy their spicy foods, so Laug's expression was wary as she turned her gaze to the vivid red chocolate in her mate's claws. She wondered if she was imagining the swirl of smoke that seemed to drift from it. [color=transparent]_____[/color]"Here, eat the rest of mine!" Never in his wildest dreams would he expect to move on to the finals! His eyes grew wide at all the expensive, [i]fine-tasting[/i] delicacies of Sornieth. This was his one chance at making the greatest dish of his dreams; this round would push everyone to the limits of their dish's taste, skills, and presentation. Next, he prepared the Fresh Trunk by cutting the meat into slices and simmering the meat with Sweet Potato Vine sauce and onion. The aroma of the fresh trunk as it sizzled in the pan made Vulcan excited - he could almost taste it from the smell alone! The unique bowl had to go with something! Errato fashioned some [url=https://htn.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/springOnionFlowers.jpg]tiny flowers from the wild onions[/url] to sprinkle onto the dish, cracked a Black Orpington egg over the donburi, and carefully placed a decorative Bullephant Mask to the side of the bowl to represent the main ingredient. Now that the fanfishes were cleared of their fins, she peeled off the fish skin, picked off the bones, taking the fish's prime cut - a top loin - and slicing it daintily in medium-sized slices. Next, she dug through the [b]stash of ingredients™[/b] to take out Deep Sea Lobster, cleaning its meat out and setting it aside to slice. Finally, a Broadstripe Uaru was cleaned and finely sliced to compliment the Fanfish sashimi and lobster! Using the Blue Lobster as a base, she put different fish sashimi on each shell link of the abdomen, fanned out the lobster tail, and propped the lobster head upright. She decorated the carapace by using the leftover Killer fanfish fins, as well as bamboo horns, wild onion whiskers, and a decorative bamboo mask to imitate the Cloudsong. The tundra added some Bamboo Leaves to bring out the taste of Cloudsong Fanfish sashimi more. He lined the dish with delicious Olympia Oysters, and placed a small plate of soy sauce beside to taste. Pressing finely-weighted Winter's Delight in a process known as débourbage, Vulcan produces wine with a pure taste of the fruit. He mixes the wine with Fogflower hearts to give a distinctive taste and siphons it to get rid of any particles suspended in the blend. In the second fermentation process, Vulcan adds Stardust mite essence mixed with Dusk Aconite to give that sparkling flavour in the champagne. He hopes the aconite would help bring out the stardust essence a bit more and give it a special memorable nighttime flavour, perfect to end off any fancy meal in a starstruck mood! Carefully, he pours the finished champagne into a flute glass, chilled, to serve. By assembling everything together, their final dish for the competition, [b]Cloudsong Sashimi & Bullephant Donburi with Stardust Fogflower Champagne[/b], was complete! [/columns] [b]Tadaa!![/b] The two dragons hugged each other to congratulate themselves for a job well done this week. Through this competition, they found they worked well as a team, both with different strengths complementing one another!

Heading back to the judging area, they came across a booth with a tundra in a jester's cap advertising to a crowd. "Come on and give Chocolate Chance a try! Will you love it? Hate it? Feel like the taste isn’t bad but weirdly you don’t hate it? Anything is possible!" the tundra in a jester's cap called. Errato stepped up to the free-for-all box and pulled out... a chocolate frog! "I was only missing Crim from my card collection, and I've got it now!!" Hurriedly, she picked up the frog and ate it. "Look!! It's even got... a scroll? Maybe this is the new edition of chocolate frog, but it says here [[i]Someday, the world would see your scales shine[/i].] Aww, how lovely, but I find calico coloured scales important, shiny or not. What did you get, Vulcan?" "Ugh, I don't know." Vulcan looked nauseous. She reached into the big box and took out some chocolate box that looked like premium artisanal material! Serenity had a very good eye for these things, being a gourmet herself, and she confirmed her conjecture by eating the chocolates. Oh, it tasted so rich! A ganache center, coated in fine grade chocolate and sprinkled with hazelnuts, it melted in her mouth instantly and made her ecstatic! In the fancy box, a scroll was tucked neatly into the corner. Serenity unrolled the piece of paper and looked at it with interest. [ [i]Challenge yourself to Shock Switch and you would gain more than mere treasure[/i] ] Is this some kind of fortune? Serenity didn't need money, she wanted good food. Though, it didn't hurt to try out the Shock Switch stall for fun and curiosity anyway!

There's no sound except for the clack of knives on a cutting board and the sizzle of oil in a pan. Gladys gives the acorns, chestnuts, mushrooms, and fogflower hearts a toss in a skillet with their chosen herbs and spices. She's not looking to fully cook them; just develop a nice crust and bring out the flavor. Spire meanwhile, slices the bullephant tusk into rounds. Some flour and oil in the base of the pot, and she sets the chunks of meat to develop a fond. [color=green]"How's the mite-powder coming along?"[/color] is the first sentence spoken since they started working. [color=magenta]"Just about ready,"[/color] Gateau nods, holding up a mortar full of glittering stardust. [color=magenta]"This stuff is great for warmth enchantments. Sometimes I put it in sweet loafs to keep them warm long past their time in the oven."[/color] [color=maroon]"That'll come in handy,"[/color] Spire nods. ----- Gladys makes fast work of their veggies; onions are finely chopped, potatoes are cubed, and carrots are cut into discs. It's a conscious decision to scrub the carrots and potatoes well, but leave their skins on. The flowers are washed well, but won't be added until near the end. For a while, the they just have to let the stew cook. Gateau had a yeast starter going so they figured some bread would go with it, so the oven is in use as well. The aroma fills the air, making cleanup seem like it takes forever. A big bowl of stew with flowers sprinkled over top and some makes a fine sight. They give it a taste to decide if they think it's fit for the judges. After accounting for just a bit more salt (potatoes seem to sap it out of every dish, don't they?), they decide they're satisfied. He was pleasantly surprised by the flavor, and then a little horrified at how expensive this chocolate must be. He would never dream of eating a pink mum, but the filling was unmistakeable. The almonds were perfectly ripe, popping in his mouth with a pleasant hum of electricity. Duchess intentionally chose a gross looking chocolate, lumpy and weirdly shaped. Queen picked one at random, a square and innocent looking chocolate. They both ate them at the same time while their friends watched. Queen won the game, her lumpy chocolate being filled with a delightful combination of scorpion tails and cinnamon. Duchess, despite her best efforts, ended up with a mouth full of leaves. Vegetables in chocolate? Luckily, the other dragons were able to drag her away before she had a chance to ask for the manager. While normally she [i]loved[/i] sweets, the possibility of grabbing a gag chocolate (in more ways than one) tempered her enthusiasm. Eventually she settled on picking a piece from one of the plant-based boxes - at least that way, she wouldn't accidentally eat something her stomach couldn't handle. She picked up a piece of white chocolate and popped it into her mouth, which immediately twisted once she tasted the filling. [i]Durian.[/I] Not [i]too[/i] bad, but not great for a Tundra with a sensitive sense of smell either. At least it could have been worse, right?
