So basically we can either bring the first team down, or protect ourselves. Lucky leap is less useful here. Confusing dance can be nice but I'm not sure the gain can outweigh the possible attacks. Hmm.... Let's protect for now?

Now that we are getting close to the end, I am trying to get a better understanding of the rounds.

After Round 5 results, we have dice rolls and voting for Round 6. Then Round 6 results and the Round 7 dice rolls and voting before the final tally, correct? Or is there only no voting for Round 7 and only dice rolls?

"Okay, so, I heard from Effy that her cousin knows someone working on the race's girlfriend and she said..." [b]Team 3's[/b] Pearlcatcher, Umbra, opens his [b]Enlightened Soul[/b] scroll. Oddly enough, this is the first time anyone has heard this type of scroll produce music, but a sort of angelic chorus arises before being turned into a swinging jazz chorus. "Seems like everything is just jazz around here!" says Umbra wonderingly as the boat zooms forward. Team 3 gains [b]7[/b] points. [b]Team 5's[/b] Pearlcatcher, Hannah, opens her [b]Enlightened Soul[/b] scroll. "Looks like this is our best bet, again," she says, watching as the now-familiar magic swirls about her, this time with the added entertainment of jazz music. "Maybe they paid the musicians for a certain amount of time and had to use it up," suggests Deltio, who nods along. Team 5 gains [b]5[/b] points. [b]Team 4's[/b] Veilspun, Baldr, cheers. "It's my time to shine!" he says as he opens his tiny Veilspun-sized [b]Swarming Slowdown[/b] scroll, which the others can barely read. But the magic is no less magnificent—a swarm of tiny magical dragon shapes form a larger dragon that envelops the boats ahead and makes it hard for them to row. Team 5 loses [b]5[/b] points. Team 6 loses [b]8[/b] points. [b]Team 1's[/b] Coatl, Bosley, shrugs. "I guess [b]Serpent's Secret[/b] is our best bet this round?" he says as he opens his scroll and the magic flows around them. Interestingly, this time a couple of pink shapes appear under the boat—they aren't magical serpents but real pink river dolphins. The cheerful creatures bump the boat along, but disrupt the dragons' paddling somewhat. Team 1 gains [b]1[/b] point. [b]Team 6's[/b] Mirror, Vision, and Skydancer, Talene, can't decide on which scroll to use. "We gotta sing a song together, that'll help!" insists Vision, but Talene isn't convinced. "Fine!" she says. "Go on, then." Vision opens her [b]Pack Pride[/b] scroll and the team watches as sparks fly out and fizzle as soon as they arrive. "Hmph," says Talene. [b]Team 2's[/b] Nocturne, Ish, opens her [b]Sneaking Through[/b] scroll. Shadows seem to surround the boat and they pass through unseen, unaffected by the other teams. Ish grimaces upon seeing the other two teams still besieged by the magical Veilspun shapes. Team 2 gains [b]10[/b] points.
