Flight Rising Discussion

I keep getting "renew your antivirus!" by Norton or something popping up in the upper right of my screen. I use Chrome, and have had this happen on two separate computers.

On Firefox Quantum, I've been having an issue with an ad that pops up in the upper-right corner of the screen like so: [img]https://i.gyazo.com/cce584388d86a6b290466e1a7d214437.png[/img] [url]https://i.gyazo.com/cce584388d86a6b290466e1a7d214437.png[/url] for direct link to my Gyazo archive. At first it was simply annoying, but it began to trigger my pop-up blocker into interfering with the website's features that involve popups, such as Baldwin's. When I tried to operate FR without my blocker, things seemed to proceed as normal for about a day before I encountered a full-page scam (False Windows, not false FR) that tried to get me to input credentials and call a number in order to 'prevent my computer from being locked up.' I regret I didn't screenshot it, but it looked quite legit; enough to fool some of our younger and/or less-savvy players. Now when my blocker engages, it locks up the FR site completely; I can't click URLs or buttons and the blocker just keeps accumulating blocked popups; I've gotten it to 30+ just by trying to get out of the screen. A further worry; one of the corner ads I encountered wasn't visually explicit, but talked about porn (And it wasn't discreet about it, tbh). While it doesn't bother me personally, being overage, FR is a teen-friendly website and I imagine admins don't want such things in view of our minor members.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but every time that I am on a page for too long or click a link (not one to out of Flight Rising, just one to, say, a different dragon’s page or something) I am redirected to a fake ‘your Mac is infected with these viruses’. My antivirus is all up to date and I have software like Malwarebytes running in the background most of the time. This only happens when I’m on Flight Rising, not any other websites. It gets very annoying especially when I’m trying to play Fairgrounds games and the webpage crashes on me. I don’t know what to do and it would be great if someone could help me.

[/quote] This has also been happening to me throughout the site. Not only is this extremely annoying, I am concerned that there may be a significant issue with FR resulting in compromising my laptop. This is the ONLY site this happens on for me.

I'm here, as most people have been recently, about the intrusive ads. I've gotten redirected to download screens multiple times, and I get pop-ups on almost every page I go on. Sadly, I'm going to have to turn ad block on for the time being. I love this game, so I've always whitelisted FR, but this is getting unbearable. I'm sorry :(

It would be great if you guys could say something in the site status sidebar on the homepage once this issue has been resolved, since I know a lot of people have been having this problem!

As many people above me have said, I have also experienced these ads. I was in the coliseum when one directed me out of the blue. I don't know which ad is doing it (it did it again as I was typing this response) but it is beginning to disrupt my experience as a user. This has only started since the Mistral Majhong update, and it happens at least two-three times a day.
The pop-up I keep getting is the one that says "Your Mac has 3 viruses. Run this program now before your system is compromised." The first time it happened, I almost thought it was real, so I am also worried that someone who may not know better could fall for the trap. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved soon.

Had a bunch of malicious pop ups showing up on boh desktop and mobile. Would appear over the stat card (thing wih your username, gold, gems, etc.) Range for looking like advertisments to fake "your norton anti virus has expired". My pop up blocker lights up like crazy and the page stops responding to input (even thought the ad only covers a very small area, forcing be to either go back a page or reload. After happening several times it suddenly stopped.

I don't have any screenshots at the moment but will take some next time it happens.

Same as most people here. I abosultely love this game... but I can't stand the malicious pop-ups. I use Flightrising with my Mac and iPhone, the ones on mobile are so unbearable that I've stopped using my phone for Flightrising.
