Honestly its kind of disconcerting how little recall I have when I used to have a lot more recall. Again my night has been pretty dreamless. I suppose I'll try out the tips on the front page and hope it might help my recall

How's this for a hyper-specific reference: it looked just like the "island" to the right of DK Isle in DK64: [img]https://www.mariowiki.com/images/4/4a/DK64_KI_02.png[/img] There were maybe 6-10 of those scattered around, most about 60 feet tall, some conjoined. They (and I) were fairly far from shore; none of the rocks had anything like a beach, just sheer walls. The ocean flowed between to form strong channels. I start talking to a familiar voice, a sort of disembodied paternal mentor I meet in dreams from time to time. He let me know that things hadn't gone well in some preceding encounter, so he'd brought me back here to heal up. I was ready to go now, but he advises I don't look down. Which I immediately do. I'm not used to vertigo. But the water was so clear, and the slopes of the rocks into the abyss so [i]completely beyond ignoring[/i], that I started panicking. I'm not even sure how far I could see, all I knew is that I couldn't see the bottom. It might as well have gone down forever. No fish, no cliffs, no shipwrecks, just darker blue on darker blue and sunlight getting weaker until it was gone... The first bit of lucidity breaks through. I have bad dreams and ocean dreams, but I don't have bad ocean dreams. Ipso facto, I don't need to afraid of this ocean. Right? I keep telling myself this while I stare towards the nearest shore, which looks to be a solid km away. My mentor chimes in with a few words about how the ocean's a safe place for me, and that I've never drowned (in dreams) (or IRL either I guess, hah), so just keep my eyes on the shore... He helps me stay focused as I breast stroke along at high speed. This too gets some comment; waking, breast's always been my weakest stroke. Rather than talking and getting water in my mouth, I "think" at him that this is just what the dream's having me do, and that I'm riding a current besides. For some reason, they point towards the shore. I'm not complaining. I'm trying to avoid leaning into the lucidity too much in hopes of keeping the dream going. After all, I'm getting awfully close to shore, and more islands are "popping in" as I go. There's a sort of Windwaker aesthetic to them, saturated colors and close-cut grass. There's also a strong awareness of the water. Now that I'm trying to keep the fear under control, I can appreciate how warm and gentle it is. Barely any waves as the currents carry me along. Unfortunately, it's nearly time to wake up. I lucidly "throw myself" to shore, close my eyes, and hug the first thing I find as a stabilizer. For no reason at all, it's the redheaded girl character from Phineas and Ferb, Candace? I fall into the trap of trying to make sense of this (I've seen like two episodes of the show) and that wakes me the rest of the way. [b]Notes:[/b] DK64 and Windwaker are long, long in my past, but they were during formative years, I guess. Still get visuals from time to time. I'm guessing I saw some kind of meme in passing with Candace in it, but nothing shocks you awake like the embarrassment of hugging a total stranger, I guess.

I remember slowly exploring the sands and eventually getting close to the sea. Before the beach’s end there was a fishing boat, and by its side there was a man (which appearance I can’t recall) holding a big fish, the animal was still alive and was struggling udder the fisherman as the waves hit them. The fish looked like a mixture between a shark, a ray and a tuna. I watched as the fisherman got a knife and started to cut the fish’s head off, I remember turning away because I didn’t want to see the animal dying. When I looked back the fish was dead, with a big cut over his gills, yet no blood to be seen. The fisherman lifted the creature and placed it over the boat’s bow, he cut off the shark-like head and the ray-like “wings”, now the fish looked like a regular tuna (without the head though). I approached the boat to take a closer look at the fish. Instead of guts, it was stuffed with dozens of sea creatures, like sea stars, sea cucumbers and jelly fish. The fisherman offered me a spoon and (dunno why lmao) I started to pick the creatures from the inside of the tuna and ate them. I woke up shortly after this [b]Notes:[/b]Another ocean-related dream, I know this one is rich on symbols but I can’t really interpret it.

im on a school computer so I can't visit the dream form--
but I remember how crazy my dream was last night.

I ended up getting into a waverider race with Ted Nivison and we had a pet tiger. I had to brush my teeth like three times in the morning at three different sinks for some reason.
I lost the waverider race because some lady at the end did the "throw it back" move dumb tiktok girls do and it threw me off my waverider and i pulled her into the water with me.
I'm not gonna say the name of the winner because it was really weird.

It's meat time again! I'm ready to train all the fodder I've been accumulating! Unfortunately I didn't get a good night of sleep at all - actually, I slept for a whopping one hour and a half. The end of semester is killing me. So for me, no recall. [center][url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gend/2593123/1][img]https://i.imgur.com/096zTKj.gif[/img][/url][/center]

Recall was fine but has gone away because it wasn't dreams I particularly wanted to recall. A bunch more vignettes that all involved endings - end of the world, people dying, media I like (including FR, in a dream that involved deleting everyone's dragons one by one) reaching the end of its lifespan... I didn't sleep well last night due to cramps, so that probably contributed to both the negativity of the dreams and the fact that it felt like there were so many.

I think my favorite scene so far is the autumn one! Autumn aesthetic in general is just... very good. The dragon I shared before actually has that scene now because More Nightwish Aesthetic Yaaas :D Although honestly they're all really cool, I just haven't found uses for the others yet so I haven't looked at them in as much detail.
