It took me about 8-9 months of constant exalting and selling off some other stuff [emoji=new friend size=1] I paid 150kg for the Idol and I think Cog Frogs are in that range, if not a [i]tad[/i] more expensive. But it shouldn't be too much more I'd think.
My biggest tip would be to shove everything in your vault! Some more tips that may be helpful: If your flight has dom, buy scrolls and put them on the AH for gems, then convert the gems back to treasure. Brew Baldwin items in advance to make tons of Strange Chests during NotN, and some to sell. Selling raw Baldwin mats is also very profitable. Buy cheap hatchlings on the AH, age them up in your hibernal den, train to level 5-7 and exalt. G&G everyday!
I also have a Skycat, but about 50% of the funds for that were obtained from offsite trades. If you're determined it's definitely possible, you got this!

@Ashki wow! I expected longer, honestly. Do you think 250kg is doable in a year? I already do G&G on a daily basis, flip gen ones, buy hatchlings to stick in my hibden and then train them up to level five, and I'm going to start selling some mats during fests and during Notn. I supposed it would be best to take advantage of Notn to the best of my ability?
I never thought about the scroll flipping but with how often light gets dom it would be a good method, i think!
During notn, since I'm not interested in the eggs or scrolls, would it be best to just sell the chests and buy what I need with the money I make if I want one?

Now my random progen wears it and looks great!
