Kurth is cool. He’s one of those Raptorix kids. I gave that guy, Trogdor, back, but I kept Kurth and I still breed Kurth with his mate Dustbowl off and on to this day. He’s one of my more favorite dragons, as i love his color combination. And before this “finish all dragons” thing I’m doing right now, he’s the reason my outfits slots were as advanced as they were - all the way up to fourteen. He is one of only a few of my dragons to use that many, and he was the reason I purchased them in the first place.
But he has always been the familiar keeper guy, even before the hat. Thanks to @Meirya for the outfit (I hope you don’t mind the ping!) they made all those years ago, which is super fun. I think I ended up mostly using that whole outfit.
Why was he the familiar keeper? Well. I really wish I knew. He’s kind of old now. Will be ten next year. And all I know is that I’ve never thought of him as anything else.
Show me a Familiar Keeper! You know, the guy that keeps all the Bumbles.
Tomorrow we celebrate Ranchers with Dustbowl.

Arapawa, named after a variety of sheep, is the familiar keeper of my "clan". He holds a list of rarer familiars, 'craftable" familiars, and past event familiars that I still need to get. So he doubles as a familiar wishlist keeper.

I have two dragons that kind of act as familiar keepers.

Andreas is currently keeping track of coli, swipp, and recent holiday familiars for me as I work on collecting all of them. I'm hopefully going to shrink everything down once I start getting all the coli familiars from a specific venue. Andreas himself isn't much of an animal dragon, but it's currently his job since the true animal lover in my lair, Skurry, is busy with my wishlist until I can find someone better suited to it.

I don't think I've shared Po yet! She may not always remember to tend to all the many many familiars inhabiting the Greenery, but she is responsible for their numbers. She just can't turn down a chance to adopt someone! Can you hoard sentient beings? Because she's definitely trying.

[gives dragon that one big snake] nice. now everyone knows they're the familiar keeper
Sutok's my familiar keeper! Similar to Kurth, he's one of my oldest dragons (turning 10 next month!); guess it's just one of those jobs that feels important to fill pretty quick. He's considered a loner, but he doesn't really agree with that, what with all the animal companions he lives with.

Dustbowl is Kurth’s mate. Probably were drawn together due to their love for animals, though Dustbowl’s animals are of a very specific type. She raises [gamedb item=1272], [gamedb item=409], and [gamedb item=342]. Incidentally, these are several of my favorite familiars - leaving out only the [gamedb item=1273] because I thought she lived in much too cold an area for the snowfall variety. Something like that. And she raises them for their various goods. The celestial halos and wingblades, for example. Furs and horns, too. Anything.
I periodically consider giving Dusty (and Kurth for that matter) new genes, but I haven’t yet. Most recently, I considered giving her Flair. She’d look great. But I really like the Peregrine, too. And now that I’ve said she’s done, I guess she is.
Show me a Rancher! This one feels a little redundant with the last one, but go ahead and show some other dragon that also has an interest in raising specific familiars. Like the guy that raises the Bumbles.
Tomorrow we celebrate Keel with Fran.

Can you ranch frogs? Hopalong sounds like a frog ranch. Otiven is certainly working on collecting enough of them for a cattle drive.

Left Kurth and Dustbowl likes!
Cer cares for any wounded animal she finds (which encompasses familiars), so that's the closest I've got :)
