TOPIC | Please show me the Pharaoh gene? c:
I don't have many, but I'm fond of this boy! I like how the orange range works with these genes.

This poor boy is wearing so much apparel you can barely see his genes.

@Nequam
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous and unique Pharaoh dragons! They have all received their well-deserved likes :) I love the creative and inspiring ways you made use of this gene. Xyca is my personal favourite, and you're absolutely right about the intriguing stained effects. I definitely learnt from this thread how perfectly Stained works together with Pharaoh!
@bakaneko
Thank you for posting Jibaro ;o; She's honestly one of the best Pharaoh dragons I've seen so far, and beyond beautiful and magnificent. I would have never thought that Amber is a colour I could actually like, but it looks phenomenal with this gene. I'm grateful for the inspiration!
@Vergil
... headphones. Thank you, now I can't unsee it. And there his planned tragic background story goes for the sake of being a ... techno music addict. It's all about the beat, yo. Zireael looks breathtaking, and I find it funny that she has Dust Pharaoh just like Nihil. I guess we once again share an excellent taste haha, and it's officially the only legit Pharaoh colour I accept now 8D

Sometimes a dragon just needs a darker primary, but their base colour doesn't work and you can't replace that dragon. Comet here is my best example

He's a G1 born with Primal eyes, so he's special to me (I didn't hatch him, I got him as a gift!). He was an adult with Jaguar/Pinstripe/Wraith before because I didn't like how light his face was with Jaguar, even though he had so much potential with Glimmer. So getting Pharaoh for Banescales was so perfect
In other cases, it just helps to tone down bright colours and bring a dragon together imo

I have to agree, I wasn't a fan of it overall, either. However, it works well with the lighter colors, and it does help neutralize a none matchy color set. I'm actually using it as a base for my new contingent of war mages, and I like where it's going:

Baldr, their leader, is Jupiter/Saturn at the moment, but as soon as I'm able, he'll look like this:

Baldr's a good example of it really helping to sort of fix a mismatched color set. I think he looks fine now, but I will 100% admit that he'll look better once I re-gene him.

Oh, I really like the workaround with the skincent - it's definitely something I've learnt from this thread haha! The gene looks good as an underlying structure, but is too overwhelming when it's fully displayed in my eyes. That being said, Rage looks gorgeous! I love how the skincent works with the colours, especially how the sanguine glimmer matches its red nuances; the effects it gives to the horns are intriguing! :)
@Kuroda
Shogeki looks magnificent, thank you for sharing him! I love the colour scheme and the steampunk vibes ;o; The stained effects really do a wonderful job on him, and it mutes down the Pharaoh just perfectly. It's really one of the best uses of the gene I've seen so far, and the gene choice truly brings out his full potential, kudos!
@Celeana
Thank you very much for sharing your stunning Pharaoh dragons! And wow, you're absolutely right about the intriguing combination with Nudibranch - it almost looks like the Pharaoh patterns are "growing out" of the body, because the shape and coloration/gradient style is very similar. I'll definitely keep this in mind, especially because this gene is my most favourite Undertide tertiary (how fortunate, haha!). Cthulhu looks phenomenal, thank you for pointing this out c:

It goes great on my girl! I was looking for a dragon that could wear my rejected BSJ entry last year, so I was surprised to find one with perfect colours who had the same birthday as me!
