The Magic of Burn Bright

Burn Bright is, in essence, alive. The lair possesses a certain self awareness that keeps itself protected against the fumes of the Annex, as well as from intrusion of the monsters that inhabit it. Whether or not this magic came from its founder or from the rock itself is unknown, and Alren will not speak of it.

Each dragon who resides in Burn Bright carries with them a phoenix guardian who keeps watch over them when they leave the lair. Each phoenix is a little different than the next, as they form from its owner's unique energy when Burn Bright becomes their permanent home. They are not visible, and they cannot be sensed, unless they are called upon. They appear as small birds that perch or flutter nearby, glowing with the subdued light of an ember. They are but a mere small clue to the greatness that is Burn Bright's magic.
