Biography

Gargoyle

As you approach the entrance to Burn Bright, you see a weathered statue of a Coatl standing off to one side of the archway. Thinking nothing of it, as Coatls are native to the Ashfall Waste and the statue probably just pays homage to that, you go to move past it into the cave. However, when you get close, you catch a bit of movement out of the corner of your eye. Did that Coatl just blink? Thinking that it was your eyes playing tricks on you, this is the Blacksand Annex after all, you go to take another step, and freeze when you see its tongue give a definite, tiny flick. Unnerved now, moving in a hurried fashion, you get just inside the archway leading into Burn Bright, and hear a thud behind you. Heart pounding, you whirl around to see the Coatl now standing in the middle of the walkway behind you, grinning from ear feather to ear feather, waving gleefully as you let out a surprised screech.

"Hi!" it says. "Welcome to Burn Bright!" Its words trail after you in an echo however, as you've already started sprinting away in fear to find the lair patriarch.

Little did you know that you've already met the first of many of Burn Bright's residents: Gargoyle, or Garg for short, the lair's greeter.

Garg enjoys his job. He works for Onick as a member of his security team; get past Gargoyle, and you're granted entrance into Burn Bright. Garg's special ability is to sense intent. If you try to enter the lair with ill intent, Gargoyle is more than equipped to prevent your attempt by any means necessary.

Garg, Hickory, and Jolly Green make for some awesome babysitters! They love kids, and their favorite game to play with the hatchlings and fledglings is Hide and Seek. Gargoyle will never say no to extra attention, either. He's like a big puppy when it comes to snoot pats!
