Edit: holy crap this menu got big, I might have to shrink down a lot of the icons into their widget forms :’) [rule] [size=4]Hi all!! This past year I’ve been utterly [i]addicted[/i] to expanding my clan lore, and giving dragons jobs and stories, and I was like huh. We’re in the Shifting Expanse, biiiig ol’ dry desert. Dragons probably be thirsty. Why not get a Water dragon to provide various drinks for them?? And so, Costello was adopted! We have teas, yes, and a couple of plant food items that can be made into teas, but what would happen if we made drinks with other plants? Or boiled some bugs and served it with ice? Fermented seafood beverage?? There’s [i]quite a lot[/i] of possibilities here, much more than I can take on alone, so! I’d like some [s]test subjects[/s] volunteers to help Costello figure out what would and wouldn’t make a good drink, and why (i.e. “daffodil tea is tasty and tastes like yellow”, or “leaf sheep seemed like a good idea but oops it’s extremely toxic too bad boiling it didn’t nullify the venom”) Even names for your drinks or instructions on how to make them are welcomed!! Plaguebringer's Brew
boiled leeches, bonebark mold stew, vampiric featherfleas and a dash of redclaw scorpion venom creates a staple in Plague dragon cuisine. after all, they're known for their soup!

Croaking Coffee
the nectar of a blood acorn, ground coffee beans, a small amount of dreamwaker poison and ground up hainu's eye can mix to make a coffee that Shadow dragons adore and many Lightning dragons require to survive.

Comments: "It's especially popular with homesick Fire dragons. Some find the heat a bit too much, though."

Biotite Bitters: Bittercrisp Apples and unripe Puckerberries juice, Pelagas Feathers, Vinegaroon spray, and topped with Blacktongue Pepper seeds.

the turtle shell dish is a huge hit for a snack dish; crayfish picks for grasshoppers and sunfish morsels, as well as skewered drink garnishes; wisp fruit is like dry ice (something I dreamed about once) with a harmless smoke effect; syrups made from blood acorns, and all kinds of berries really are a hit for the sweeter drinks; tree syrup can be fermented into alcohol as well! maybe not all tree sap, but we’ll figure it out as we go

Fictional drink recipes, you say? Always a good time to mention the Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which I've adapted to Sornieth's ingredients:

1) Take the juice from one bottle of Ol' Bottlesnake Spirit.

2) Pour into it one measure of water from the Sea of a Thousand Currents — Oh, that Thousand Currents seawater! Oh, those Thousand Currents fish!

3) Allow three cubes of Arcane Mega-gin to melt into the mixture (it must be properly iced or the benzene is lost).

4) Allow four litres of Plague marsh gas to bubble through it, in memory of all those unfortunate exalts who have been concussed by Wartoads in the Mire.

5) Over the back of a Fluted Bat Spoon float a measure of Dusk Jadevine extract, redolent of all the heady odours of the dark Wispwillow Grove, subtle, sweet and mystic.

6) Drop in the tooth of a Flamerest Fiendcat. Watch it dissolve, spreading the fires of the Volcanic Vents deep into the heart of the drink.

7) Sprinkle Sacridite.

8) Add an olive.

9) Drink... but... very carefully...

Cliff lion could be used to make dandelion tea a decaf coffee alternative, or dandelion wine. [item=cliff lion] I've always wanted to try an arcane smoothie [item=Aether Cherries][item=Juneflower][item=Red Banana][item=Cursed Garnish] You could probably make a smoothie for each of the flights. As for a coffee beverage, coffee beans are the pit of a fruit essentially, so I think the Charged Duneberry might work well for making coffee. [item=Charged Duneberry]
