Once inside, the shop's interior displays more of this split. The leftmost half is a cool wisteria, with lights placed inside crystals - creating a misty, evening-like air. The right side has auburn, hardwood flooring, with a warm fireplace, and an almost log cabin-esque sense of comfort.

The pearlcatcher to the left smiles your way. Stars shine in her teeth, the glimmer of moonlight, the reflection of a reflection. She is hewn in shades of pastel opalescence, and in the dim twilight her odd markings feel like the ghosts of once-vibrant colors.
[Columns]"I am Starshine," she says. Despite her small stature, there's something almost predatory in her stance, in the way she carries herself. She tilts her head, stares for a moment into your eyes, like she's looking into your soul.
Then she laughs, the sound like silver bells at midnight. "You are here for a reason, are you not?" The words roll like a purr off her tongue. "Let's talk business, then."[nextcol][/columns]
She motions you further inside. The other pearlcatcher waves to you, sending a gentle smile and inviting you to come over to his table. His silver strands reflect the fireplace's light, making his face appear as if it's glowing.
[Columns]"My name is Graham," His voice is gravelly, but in the sense that the gravel came from a well-trodden road, having undergone trials and tribulations, adventures of a lifetime.
Coming up to his counter, you see the haggard, yet hopeful look in his eyes. Every wrinkle is a story, yet to be told. He has plenty to fill his pockets. He sighs, "They say I'm an open book, so why not tell stories like one?"[nextcol][/columns]
Graham rubs his claws against his pearl, peering into it as if it's some sort of crystal ball. In reality, he's just polishing the dust off.
"I'm always looking to add more stories to my collection," He chuckles, "You can never have too many, you know."

Hi, I’m Vee, shop co-owner and voice of Starshine! I’ve been writing fanfiction for the past six years, so I’m pretty skilled at what I do. As such, I’m confident that I can create lore you’ll love!
I’m a jack of all trades, but my specialty is angst and hurt/comfort. I’ll likely be creating the longer form content, say 200 words and up. I work well with both precise outlines and with creative liberty, and have so far an impeccable track record of quality lore orders.
I get very invested in my work and care a lot about making sure you’re happy with your order. I look forward to working with you!
Hello! I'm Kursed, co-owner and writer of Graham! I've come in and out of writing, seeing it as a sort of second hobby (with my first being character design and drawing!)
I like plenty of genres, but my favorite topics to write range from witty dialogue, to dream sequences, to descriptive paragraphs. I'll probably be taking the short form writing (Tab Descriptions, Short Bios, etc) so most pieces 50-100 words.
I love when people use my work! Seeing people happy makes me happy, so that's my goal when it comes to what I do here ^^

"My words are as precious to me as gems," she says, "and so each one will be worth a gem." Starshine winks, the gesture just this side of cheeky. "I hope that sounds fair to you, my dear?"
"She insisted on charging." Graham jokes, then slinks back behind his counter. He chuckles, despite the haughty glare thrown in his direction.
1g/kt = 1 word.
Flat word count orders: You set a word count, one of us writes that number of words. You wouldn't be charged for more than the flat count you set. For example, if you ordered 200 words, but we wrote 230, you will be charged 200g, and we wouldn't write less than 200 words.
Word cap orders: You set a maximum word count. You would be charged by the word for no more than the cap you set. For example, if you ordered a 600 word cap and I wrote 550 words, you would be charged 550g, and we wouldn't write more than 600 words.
RuleOfVee wrote:
NOTE: Currently not taking orders. Please refer to Kursed's info.
I will not take orders for more than 1k words for an individual piece. I am however open to long term projects - say, writing lore for 10 dragons in your lair - as long as individual 'pieces' are 1k words or less.

Please be nice to us We're just lil guys.
Please credit the respective writer when you use our lore. Link to this thread if you can, any boost helps!
Use the order form please! It helps show interest in the shop and helps us get traction, while also ensuring that we have a record of all orders made. We don't mind PMs for ironing out additional details, but please do use the form for your final request.
Remember to ping both of us! Even if only one of us is going to be doing the commission, pinging us both helps us be aware of the people who are ordering so we can discuss who'll take on the writing.
Please don't modify our lore without permission. We're willing to make small edits for free, and we'd rather you work through us than modify it yourself, as we'd like control over what is attached to our respective names.
No haggling, prices are fixed.
We don't do the bbcoding for you.
Lore requests must be within Flight Rising ToS. We can, at our own discretion, refuse to fill an order if we feel uncomfortable/uncertain with the content being discussed.
Refund Policy
We don't offer refunds unless the lore is horribly defective - that is, requiring a complete rewrite in order to fit your purposes. If that happens, you will not be charged, but you cannot use the defective lore.

The twilight sky hung over the city, the skyline scattered with windows lit like stars. The hustle and bustle of urban life had settled by then.
The night is perfect. At least, it would be perfect, if some nuisance in a nearby alleyway wasn't currently torturing a guitar.
It wasn't just beginner level playing, it was beginner level playing with an overexuberant yet somehow slightly hesitant undertone. There was singing too - and in comical irony it was excellent. An entrancing lyrical performance, canceled out by strumming in shambles.
Eventually, Hound couldn't take it anymore. With a snarl under his breath and murder on his mind, he changed course and stormed straight towards this sacrilegiously-playing sucker. No one should get away with such a heinous crime against humanity.
Sure, it might not have been illegal, but in Hound's book, this deserved the Picasso penalty.

This time, this cycle, fate would have them meet in a flower shop. Luci would tend the counter, like she has every day for the past eight years, paying less attention to the customers and more attention to light daydreams of pink hair and warm eyes. Cami would be a newcomer in the small town of Heartridge, wandering through the ebb and flow of the town’s populace, looking and looking for something in particular and never finding it.
On that Sunday afternoon, Cami’s steps would slow by the flower shop. Her wings would twitch in interest. Something would reach out to her, practically calling their name, and her feet would guide them past the rows of potted plants and the bead curtain entrance, almost in a trance.
Her gaze would land on a glimmer of gold, of yellow, of sunlight. Wide eyes would meet their own. And that missing part of her heart would suddenly become whole.
Feeling much the same, Luci would rise from her chair, practically throwing herself across the counter into Cami’s arms. Cami would catch her, hold her close, tucking her head under their chin. She would hum, a familiar song that has followed them across the eons, and rock Luci back and forth in a gentle embrace.
Luci would cry into her chest, and Cami would never let go.
Vera was born of the river.
She was born of the river, far from the divine sight of the Tidelord. One of the common little estuaries that feed the sea but never have the honor of being anything more than other. She was born alone, of the shimmer of sunlight on water, of the sound of the babbling, muddy brook. She stumbled out into the light and opened her eyes and cried out for someone to help her, to protect her, to nurture her.
No one ever came.
She grew up alone. The river made for a poor parental figure - the water wasn't clean enough to drink. It provided no shelter from wild animals or older, more vicious dragons. It gave no warmth and no love. She hid in the caves from the beasts and creatures, and she drank the dew, and she learned to hunt and learned to fight and learned to survive.
And no one ever came.
Until someone did. A dragon, smelling of the meadows and the sunlight. Yellow like buttercups, mane soft as dandelions. Too soft for her - until she saw the similar streak of ruthlessness in his eyes, the kind born of remaining alone, entwined with the desperate, childish need for someone to love him. The need she felt, too.
His name was Faust. And together, they filled in the scarred pieces of their existence with each other's care. They fought and hunted and laughed and loved. They had children, most of whom left the nest to pursue lives of their own.
Their family, however, extended beyond their children. Alcedin, a misfit child of parents who had no desire to keep him, stumbled his way across their clan and became their child in all but blood. Aurai, a Seer with no clan to call her own, found a kinship in Vera and became her beloved sister.
The clan grew, almost without her expecting it. Misfits, outcasts, broken souls and broken hearts, finding their way to her clan as if by instinct, by magic, to find healing and family.
And Vera looked upon her family, large as it was, loved as it was, and swore with every fiber of her being that she would protect every single one of them with her life.
She was no longer alone, and that was a treasure she could never let slip out of her grasp.

She wails, and there is no one to hear her.
She shrieks, from her prison of copper and steel. She cries, the sounds drowned by the bite of seasalt and cast iron. She groans and creaks with the howling wind, alone, isolated, entrapped. No one to hear, no one to listen, no one to bring her home.
The walls rattle and shake. She rattles and shakes with them, to and fro, to and fro. Her struggles remain useless, utterly, horribly useless. Bit by bit, she grows mostly still. A beast muzzled but far from tamed.
She settles, and she sits in wait. And waits, until one day, a creak unlike the others pierces through the crash of ocean waves. The sound of a door opening. The sound of footsteps filing in. Authoritative voices, like the ones that locked her away. Locking away others, now.
She waits until the voices fade, the door closes. Until the footsteps settle, until confusion fills the air instead of awkward trepidation.
And then she reaches out, a corridor of electricity and glass, and takes them away.

"Of course," Starshine says, not sounding offended in the slightest. "Please, feel free to look at samples of my work. I want you to be certain that I will provide only the best."
She shoves a few reams of parchment your way. Her pristine, flowing cursive looks back up at you.

Example #2 - Personal Lore wrote:
Example #3 - Lore Commission for KursedCurtain wrote:
