WITCHBORNE TRAITS: March, the Crow Moon These dragons are meticulous scavengers (and curious to a fault), and are often seen picking at the remains or dwellings of Child-Eaters' hovels. Often than not, anyone can get confused upon which Witch has become a Child-Eater and so these dragons are here to help them differentiate. Very much like the Witchborne of the Wolf Moon, they have a reputation of being crafty wisdom-keepers, but are also rumored to be terrible at keeping secrets. Nevertheless, Witchborne under the Crow Moon also have the ability to communicate with the dead, as they prove to be more truthful than any other evidence. The information they take from the dead, as such example are murder victims, are scarily accurate that could pinpoint the exact time of their own deaths, the murder weapon, their attacker. Often times, they also depend on the spirits in thrall with the Witchborne of the Wolf Moon that they may rely on. Through this, they can't either be lied to as they are quite quick to know the truth through supernatural perception.
BARGHEST TRAIT:
TAROT MEANING: The Chariot tarot card depicts a figure sitting inside a vehicle that is being driven by two black and white sphinxes. The whole card has a bit of a celestial influence; the figure sits underneath a blue canopy adorned by white stars. On his shoulders, he carries the sign of the crescent moon, representing the spiritual influence under which he is guided. On his head sits a crown, meaning that he is enlightened, and that his will is pure. Emblazoned on his chest is a square, denoting the element of earth, of the material world, which grounds him and his actions. The sphinxes are colored in black and white, a symbol of opposing forces that the charioteer must learn to control. Here they are calm, but they frequently get into scuffles as they seem to want to move in different directions. His task is to guide these sphinxes towards a destination, one that is marked by the cosmic forces that he represents. The Chariot tarot card is all about overcoming challenges and gaining victory through maintaining control of your surroundings. This perfect control and confidence allows the charioteer to emerge victorious in any situation. The use of strength and willpower are critical in ensuring that you overcome the obstacles that lie in your path. The Chariot's message comes to make you stronger as you strive to achieve your goals. In the Chariot's quest for his goal, he may display some behavior that he has never seen within himself before - competition and a desire to succeed has perhaps brought out a more aggressive part of his personality. Aggression is a natural part of human nature, and the Chariot reminds you that it can also be used to help you take charge of your situation, but also must be reined in so that it does not hinder your way forward.
The Witchborne are dragons who have survived the heavy brunt of Witch-Hunting and of the Trials by Flame, conditioned to live in harsher circumstances and trained to the most extent of their abilities. They hold neither a light or dark magic, but of a more ethereal and primordial case, Chaos Magick, which allows them to make use of any element within range of advantage. Despite other dragons' misunderstanding and often than not, false perception of what and who the Witchborne are, it is made clear that through their infamous prowess in battle and even more mystical and mysterious ways of eliminating the so called Child-Eaters (witches who have gone rogue and turned to using the flesh of younglings for blood and bone sacrifices), the Witchborne are a line of guardians and seekers, protectors of Witches, Wizards and of dragons alike, a force to be reckoned with in either a battle at night or day.
One important object that all the Witchborne always carry with them is the Babylon Candle, a magical artifact that could teleport a person from one place to another, just by alighting the wick and clearly thinking and visualizing the exact location in which the one holding the candle would wish to be. However, Babylon Candles are rare enough to come by and so Witchborne only use it, as it burns away just after only two lightings, in desperate measures, always prioritizing escape, either for them, or their charges, no one else's. Other's may even call it the Witch's Candle, as it is not always traditional for magic-users to use the broom stick as a means of travelling. Babylon Candles are ebony black, but doesn't emit a orange red flame like any normal candle, but the blue of night fires, bathing everything in a ghostly blue light. Witchborne may decorate it in gems or their own feathers, wrapped in the beads that may even carry different meanings of the runes they favor, bless it with the herbs they prefer.
This dragon does not carry the colors and genes of a Witchborne, but the blood of their ancestors still runs in their veins. They still hold some ideals close to their chest, and though they are bound to another, the practices of a Witchborne often shine through in the actions of their partner. Their descendants likely won't be Witchborne themselves, but those who follow them may find themselves among the Witchborne if their colors match down the line. This dragon is descended from a Necromancer, but just missed the mark on colors. As such, they cannot be registered as a Necromancer themselves. They are, however, a Carrionix, and may pass this down to their descendants if they miss the mark for Necromancers. They are a standard Carrionix, and brought his sire with him to ensure his descendants are also tied to the line. |
 Blessed by Water Imber | When it became apparent that through the water, the other dragons could condemn those who they believed had taken their children, the element became their means to an end. But as soon as the whereabouts of Child-Eaters came to surface, it is there where the water had proved to be most fatal to those dreaded fallen witches, burning them and their putrefied physicality as if doused by acid. Witchborne who are christened under this element became adept in controlling the Mist, being able to create, draw, scry through any pool of liquid, and even purify them for their own spells, or for drinking purposes. |
| In the days of the slumbering gods, when the arcanist played his folly and came the sisters, something else plummeted from above - a star falling, trailing hellish patterns behind it, crashing into the plaguelands where the first curious dragons beheld it - and were consumed by it's descent. But this was not the end - for those consumed arose again from that impact, the very first of them. And to follow them - for soon did the dragons of plague look upon and form a strange pact with these beings for survival in kind. Dragons melded with the strange and unearthly organisms from that first star, the passengers of the void above - a mergence of two opposites for a stronger whole. They were named Carrionix, once seperate, now united. A union of symbiotic evolution. |
