Wild Blue Yonder - The Amazing Devil
- His soul had ended up in the islands through unusual means. The Clans' best mediums and medics did their part in reviving him. However; the process altered his genetics, causing his mane and wings to become gelatinous, and his torso to develop a capsule. There is a crack in the chest where his presumed fatal blow that led to his original demise lies.
- His memories have been warped in the process. He seems to mention having a lover, but he cannot remember her name or what she looked like. He keeps hold of those fleeting feelings and shattered memories.
- A really good cook.

* Hansel, through a mistake in Niruin's weaving, was left as a ghost wandering the world after he died.
* He made himself known to Saturn and Kalua while they were cooking dinner for the clan, and was welcomed into Silver Bay for as long as he needed to get on his feet. He hopes to someday feel strong enough to set off in search of the dragons he left behind.
* Hansel is frustrated with himself for not figuring out this ghost thing faster. He feels the clock ticking every day, and feels he has to get back to the place where he died. He needs to make sure his friends are okay. But the harder he tries, the more unstable this accidental ghost form gets, and the more frustrated Hansel becomes in this vicious cycle.
* Hansel was severely wounded by the attack of the Shade which led to the opening of the Maw. He lost eyesight, but can still “see” with his ghostly form. He can sense objects and structures around him as well as their shape, but no color enters his mind anymore.
* Hansel knew he was fading before it happened. He used this extra time to get closure, and to spend a nice final few days with his friends.
- Extremely adventurous. Met Hime in his travels and convinced her to come with him and join Shui's challenge. He's not interested in eternal life, he just thinks it will be fun and make for a good story.
- Fell for Hime pretty quickly. Doesn't understand why she's so interested in Shui. Not out of jealousy, but concern. As excited as he is for the challenge and the adventure it begins, he doesn't trust him.
- Since Valoo the courier is his brother, it's his presence among The Disciples that roped Valoo in and allowed him to bring mail.
