Born to Ragnar and Lorelei, Erik was premature, hatching only a day after being laid. Despite this, when he opened his eyes there was something there which captured the eye and made him seem older than he appeared. Instead of inheriting his father's large physique, Erik took after his mother with a thinner build. Magic stirred within him, similar to both of his parents, and Erik was intelligent enough to use it to his advantage as he moved up through his father's army. His voice could ensnare others and bind them to his whims. While not as effective as his mother's arts, Erik's looks and magic are more than enough to bind most women to him. One of his older brothers was sent to serve the Flamecaller, Erik taking after him closely in appearance, so much so that some wonder if Jolnir has returned in a new form... During his travels, Erik one day found himself landing on the shore of the Lightweaver's Domain. There he found a large clan of dragons, many of whom greeted him with smiles and open arms even without his magic. He found himself returning here when tired of the sea, whether because of a feeling of belonging or due to the ease of manipulation. Regardless, Erik was the first to notice Undine, noticing the dragon's presence in the ocean near another ship docked off of the shore. He is careful to steer his crew clear of her, well aware of the dangers associated with singers from the deep. He doesn't think much of the crew of The Howling Tide, believing them to be only playing at sailors with little talent between them. Out of the group, Jaehrik is the only one he acknowledges to have any skill. In the clan itself, Wavecrest has caught his eye and Erik has vowed to one day win her heart, willingly given or not. |
