Tiamat is an old dragon, a direct descendent of some of the earliest dragons. She tried out many different tasks over the years before finally settling on fighting. Initially to help her courage, then to cause fear in her enemies, Tiamat would paint her face with warpaints. Her skills were rapidly honed to their finest and she began to travel, collecting new experiences with each new clan she joined.

At one point during her journey, Tiamat came across a wandering mercenary. The other was less skilled and so Tiamat let her follow when she headed out to go to her next job. With Rahab, Tiamat discovered she enjoyed teaching the other her skills and watching her grow as a fighter. She loved seeing how the other would take her moves and build on them, the relationship quickly turning into more of a collaboration as opposed to that of a master and pupil.

This all changed when they heard of a massive battle with the Beast Clans. The Battle of the Terrace affected every dragon who fought in it differently. In the heart of the battle, Tiamat saw many dragons fall around her, many who were young. Tiamat, having seen enough bloodshed and violence, opted to retire to a clan in the Sunbeam Ruins. There she hoped to regain some of what she had lost of herself in the fight. While sad to say her farewells to Rahab, Tiamat recognized that the other still had much to accomplish and gave the other her best wishes. For a long time afterward she could not bring herself to take on another pupil, mourning her loss.

"Nothing is forever." Tiamat says this to herself whenever memories of the battle overwhelm her. Initially she secluded herself in her den, baring the door to all and refusing to leave. Zelda would go to her, wanting to help heal her mind and spirit. While Tiamat never let her in, Zelda refused to give up. She eventually recruited Doctor, another survivor of the battle. The two never spoke much initially, simply sitting on opposite sides of the closed door.

One day Doctor opened up, telling Tiamat about his sorrow over how his inventions had been used to hurt others. The collateral damage caused by his creations had made it hard for him to move forward. Even Tardis' help didn't ease the burden he carried in his heart. The other's openness and honesty allowed Tiamat to bare her own heart, to talk about the burden of seeing those who were too young for battle fall around her while she was powerless to stop it. It was then that Doctor made a suggestion that changed her life; she should train others in the clan so that none would face that fate again while she was alive.

Tiamat felt like she had been given a new life. She would train the clan members to fight, regardless of their status as warriors, so that should anything threaten her new family they would be able to protect themselves. Feeling unburdened, Tiamat found enjoyment in the new challenge of training those not suited to normal combat, once again learning how to change her techniques to suit the needs of those training under her. While unable to ease Doctor's burden in return, she often will sit with him, knowing how much a listening ear can prevent one from feeling alone.

But Tiamat is a close second. There's something very refined but unsettling about how she looks. She's absolutely gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but there's always something about Kelpie manes that just bring an air of "danger" to an outfit. Definitely looks like the type to mop the floor with most dragons. And, I gotta give you kudos for making a tunic work. I've only seen that a handful of time over the years, LOL. Kogoruhn
Quote:
Tiamat is quite the elegant warrior. The garden of fire paired with the kelpie mane adds a mystical forest touch to the fighter's grand design. The satin tunic matches the wings well and adds a regality to her presence. The golden weapons bring out the orange tones of the opal and serve as a fatal reminder that Tiamat is both elegant and dangerous. Lyko

I think you can tell i like warm colours, especially red,, first of all, i love skydancers! Tiamat is so well-dressed, ueueue. And the tiny glimpses of golds and other colours just make the outfit better. Such a pretty lady! Rayymond

I'm beyond jealous that you have a 10 year old dragon, first off (coming from a 2022 player lol)! Tiamat is absolutely beautiful, her red-gold palette makes her look both regal yet dangerous, which really compliments her character. The kelpie mane is a gorgeous touch to her outfit and gives her an aura of unmatched power. Her bio layout fits her really well, and the lore is also quite beautiful, though tragic. You conveyed the feelings of guilt and anguish really well, and tied in her coli status flawlessly. Probably some of the best lore involving coli dragons I've seen yet! Absolutely love her. I gave everyone likes. saspitite

A decade-old dragon, taken care of and given such an important place in the clan. I love what you did with Tiamat (Tiamut?) here, she is a warrior from the delicate sweep of her snout to her last sharp claw. I also like how after the kelpie mane sweeps over her body (along with her great apparel pairing), one could see the little bright butterflies, lending her a soft side that doesn't seem so easy to draw out- and with good reason! That girl deserves all the retirement downtime! LaSilva007
Quote:
Tiamat is so striking! Her colors are so vibrant. I especially like the Opal effect on her wings— makes me think of brighter sparks in an already intense fire. I love the use of underutilized apparel; the pattern of the mask under the mane is so fierce. Her accent is also expertly chosen. She certainly lives up to her title of fighter! Akhilleus

Lore:
By Astaraela
She bowed her head, hesitant to enter the cave and see her pupil for possibly the last time. It was necessary, she knew this. The days of bloodshed had passed for now, but they would return, sweeping the clan once again with newly found fears and scarring. That was why she had to go, for good. She couldn’t hurt others again, couldn’t keep wounding herself in the process of taking others’ lives.

But why did Rahab have to be so committed to the war? In another life, she would convince her to come, retire alongside Tiamat and settle down. She had fought alongside Rahab, seen the sorrow and anger struggling in her eyes as she cut down harpy after harpy with the skills Tiamat had taught. Ultimately, the fury had won out and Rahab had slunk to this cave to lick her wounds, recuperating and reflecting. Her gouges from spears and talons would heal in the end, but the decision she had made on the battlefield never would. Two paths, split forever through the same actions, the same conflict, seen through two different perspectives. Tiamat knew she had to leave just as Rahab knew she would continue to fight for the clan.

Sighing deeply, she pushed her head through the leaves draped over the entrance to the cave and braced herself for the hardest conversation she might ever have.
