Of his siblings, Phenteo is the one who is most like a true Witchborne, in mind, magic and body. Despite the shade of his wing being clearly one shade too light, marking him as a Witchkin, he trains relentlessly in his free time to achieve the power that comes so easily to a Witchborne, so he might be able to stand among them as an equal. He tends to miss the fact that Witchborne or Witchkin, he's still family, although he thankfully has Cicatriz and Jorus to remind him of that. And even if he does not quite qualify as a Witchborne, he was born under the full moon and had a card drawn for him at his birth, and he believes fully in what Witchborne stand for-protecting others. WITCHKIN

Despite being only a Witchkin, being the child of a half-elemental and a powerful Witchborne gives him some benefits, which combined with intense training has given him a significant fraction of a true Witchborne's abilities. While he has little to no control over true Chaos Magic, his skill with Elemental Light Magic rivals experienced magic users. He also is capable, surprisingly, to Whisper and Silence, just not to the extent that a Witchborne can, and what he little he can do is heavily dependent on the moon. When the moon nears it's fullest, he can Whisper, although the most he can accomplish is sending silent messages and reading only the loudest of surface thoughts. And when the moon nears it's darkest, he can Silence, though the most he can ever do is silence his own movements or lessens the sounds of his immediate surroundings. December, the Cold Moon
Meanwhile other Witchborne could make themselves immaterial or charm speak their way through to get information, those dragons born under the Cold Moon are quite desperately sought after as they are blessed with two abilities: to silence, muting the physical sound around them, and to whisper - directly into the mind. In Silence, they are able to create it, but distance, mass and precision depends upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the dragon. Meanwhile, Whispers are able to manipulate, read, and sometimes fully control the minds of other dragons within reach. As with the first ability, the strength and depth of this ability depends on training and talent, with the strongest whispers able to fully possess all corners of an opponent's brain, reading their thoughts or controlling their actions without their opponent even knowing. Any of these two abilities make them formidable in combat and reconnaissance, but even most rarer, and deadlier, are those who possess both.
