The following two situations are so dire that they are to be considered out right war. The army will be deployed in these instances. Rangers will take over the army guard positions in towns, villages, and the unicorn herd. They will continue to patrol the natural areas, especially the starwood forest.
The following situation is not ideal for rangers but they can step in temporarily if they must. Again, the army should be controlling this situation.
Kelp Bed Trainers
Ice is the best element, followed by Water and Nature (only if you use Reflect against the bosses, since they receive increased damage from Ice and Plague).
From this point on, rangers are perfect for these situations. Indeed, the army is overkill, only to be sent in if specific training is required of soldiers is required or speed is necessary. However, the issue of speed depends upon what we are facing. In many situations the rangers get the job done faster than a unit of soldiers.
