Jonathan is one of the longest-running members of the Tempest Chase, and functions primarily as night watch. Jonathan features prominently in the story of the Tempest Chase’s beginning and War Talons.

Jonathan breeds exclusively with Nadia. Their large family is grown on the cornerstone of Jonathan’s devotion to Nadia, and her belief in him. However, their children are raised in the nomadic mercenary environment among thieves and raiders. Their children are bound to be quick to act, though their sense of justice and mercy know no bounds. All of Jonathan and Nadia’s children enter the world with the surname Longhouse.

I'm too lazy to write an actual story so here, have a nice little bullet-pointed list of the most important parts of this story.

We start out with the little crew on the way back to the Estate of Escape because we’ve just finished a good job and we actually have money. So we can afford a nice comfortable lean-to.
Settling down for the night on the steppes, though, we hear the sounds of Harpy revelry. We go to clandestinely investigate. Partially because no one can sleep with this racket going on.
We discover a flock of harpies dancing around a couple of caged dragons in the firelight. Since we can’t think of any particularly good reason this would be happening, we decide to help.
Of course, there’s only five of us - and two of those aren’t really even fighters. So we kind of get our butts kicked, but we do rescue the dragons.
We manage to escape with our lives and hide from the Harpies long enough for them to give up on the search. Medic tends our wounds and we have a nice chat.
Turns out out new friend the Skydancer is a descendant of Water dragons, and she can tell the future from rainbows (as a Light dragon). Is this a good time to talk about this? Well, here it is in case I want to use it. Any dragon can be a Seer provided they have a Water dragon ancestor. However, for the duration the Tidelord is done, Water dragons cannot See from the Tidelord. Other dragons receive infrequent prophecies from their own deity (provided a Water ancestor gives them the ability to interpret it). Water dragons can also, however, be Seers for all elemental deities with study, so Water seers don't become useless just because their deity is gone.
Anyway, the point is that Jonathan (and Nadia, to an extent) join us.
