Wray is a match for any dragon in ferocity, and will fight anyone who says differently. There's not a fight Wray won't take, not a threat or challenge that will make her back down. Still, she lacks any sort of leadership ability, as well as any desire to follow orders. She's managed to make herself useful so far by running out undesirables, using intimidation to keep the less disruptive in line.

Friends never come easy to Wray, and the friends that she does have came in a most unusual way. She falls in with the berserkers and brawlers, the frauds and ne'er-do-wells. They're generally a bunch of fair-weather friends. Even when storms do come, Wray steadily turns into the wind on her own. She doesn't need anyone.

Wray's parents will probably always be disappointed that she is the way she is, that she takes more after her sister than her mother. Wray is fine with this, since she can easily take her father in a fight anyway. She'll go her own way if she has to.

Wray cut communications with her family quickly after leaving home. Letters are hard to reach you when you're out at sea and you tell no one where you're going. It was the most effective way to fall off the map. Free from parental concern, she spent a great deal of time sailing under Firefeather's flag, plundering, fighting, and raising shade on the open sea.

At a port along Nature's coatline, Wray got off and fell in with bad company. When things went south a fight broke out, landing her and the group in the slammer. She tried to get word to her captain, but the note was intercepted by crewmates whom she'd had bad dealings with in the past, and they imformed the captain she'd jumped ship. Firefeather replaced her with a different sailor and the crew sailed for parts unknown.

After her release she wandered, trying to unsuccessfully find work.
