Welcome to the Valkama Commune, where outsiders and wanderers from across Sornieth are welcomed to settle down and find themselves at home.

Everyone is welcome at Valkama as long as they commit to living in harmony with the rest of the clan during their stay. Exiles find acceptance, wanderers find their journey’s end, and everyone finds a family. That being said, Valkama isn't a permanent home for everyone. If you just need a place to rest or to stay until you find your footing, you're welcome to stay for as long or short a time as you want!

The beginning:
The young lovers Argent and Lady were restless, dissatisfied with life on the Zephyr Steppes and seized with a great wanderlust. They already had a young child and a clutch of eggs, but they didn’t want to raise their family somewhere where they were unhappy. They gathered up their two eggs in slings on Argent’s back, took little Banana by the claw, and set off northward to seek a new home. While crossing the Scarred Wasteland they met a fellow traveler named Sybil, heading to the Starfall Isles. Lady, Argent, Banana, and the Eggs, who had found the road lonelier than expected and were longing for a travelling companion, joined Sybil and turned eastwards.

When the travelers reached the Starwood Strand they knew they were finally home. The nest where Phalaina and Chris were hatched, under the stars and near the campfire, was the beginnings of the Valkama lair. Soon other wanderers began to gravitate towards the lair, and Argent and Lady welcomed them all, just as they had welcomed Sybil. A skilled but poor tinker, a disgraced diplomat, an unhappy aristocrat’s daughter; this was only the beginning of the diverse community of Valkama Commune.
