I actually have a max level cauldron as well now since you need to get quite close to max level to even brew the baldwin genes. I've also convinced a bunch of other friends I made in the meantime to play so they've been using my cauldron and thereby helping me get to max level as well.
I actually only recently finished geneing all of the Banescales I bought on release, mostly because it took me a long time to get my cauldron to a high enough level (also was on FR hiatus for most of the last three years)
