Well, that's not a myth anymore, as Eiyora just witnessed how other competitors gathered around Sapphire, as if shielding her, helping her as she sing with her clear and mesmerizing voice, completely unaffected by her wobbly skating. "I wonder if this counts as cheating..." Eiyora considers calmly on the audience stand, seemingly recovered from her stunned state of yesterday and reached a relatively balanced mindset where such performance is no longer surprising or tramatising. Hebra sneered, rolling her eyes at the male tundra standing next to her. She couldn't recall asking for anyone's opinion on which breed was the better skier, especially not that of someone she didn't even know. "It's true! I swear it. Tundras are just built for skiing. It's not your fault we're better." The tundra said as he pushed his chin up high. It was obvious that the dragon thought very highly of himself and his breed but Hebra wasn't buying it. That smug smirk of his was annoying her, and she just wanted the conversation to end. "Well if that's the case, it will be even more embarrassing when I beat you." She challenged turning her head back toward the starting line. Just as the tundra opened his mouth to say something back the sound of a whistle interrupted him. "On your mark! Get set! Go!" The sound of the starting horn blared through the air and Hebra pushed off and away from the dragon that had been bothering her. Cross country skiing was her specialty and she wasn't going to lose to some egotistic tundra who thought otherwise.

Things were never quiet for long. From the roar of the crowd, to the claxon's blare and the frequent clack as players battled for the puck. Even though it would be some time until the Mirror saw the event she was most invested in, she seemed to be making a good effort at accomplishing the journalist's task for every one she saw in the meantime. Those who'd noticed would have said that the camaraderie of practising for the games had been good for Flares. Though he already knew their captain, Saya, from gathering-work, he'd experienced good rapport with others beyond that sphere. Saya was catching her breath. Flares tapped her shoulder once and told her, “we trust you.” Saya looked the Nocturne in the eye and nodded. “Thank you.” They were one point away from the match coming to an end, and either side could take it. The Wildclaw couldn't speak for her opponents, but she knew her team still had fight to give. The whistle signalled the end of the moment of peace, and the scuffle for the puck recommenced. One of the team managed to seize it from an opponent eyeing their goal and passed to Saya. The Wildclaw charged forward, a couple of team-mates advanced with her, and once her way was blocked, she passed to Flares who shot for that last point.

Day 2

Asteria sat beside the rink, slipping on his figure skates.

"It's no myth that you're one of the best skaters here, Asteria." His coach said, walking up to him.

"I know, but my nerves are more than getting to me." He mumbled as he stood up.

He was in the practice rink, but his turn to compete was coming up soon. He walked over to the entrance to the rink, stepping on the ice and gliding off into the center. As he was finished he skated over to where his coach stood.

"You need to hit everything, not just the big stunts," He said with a sigh.

"I know I know," Asteria mumbled

Just as he said that, a voice came over the rink intercom. "Asteria, please make your way to the official arena, your turn is coming up, I repeat, Asteria, please make your way to the official arena, your turn is coming up."
