Q: How can I help out with Goat Excavations?

Q: What do the attendant statuses mean?
A: The statuses are similar to Raffle attending statuses! Please understand that goats can take a while to create, even if the attendant is available.
- Available means the attendant is checking regularly.
- Busy means there might be a backlog, or the attendant is checking sporadically.
- Off - Queue means the attendant is Offline but will get to any goat orders that are sent to them when they next come online.
- Offline means that the attendant is not currently able to take orders, please don't send them any!
There is also a Queued section that an attendant might fill out if they have a lot of orders pending, so you know to expect a delay!
Q: Can I buy multiple outfits for one goat?
Yes! Feel free to send in one goat multiple times for different outfits. Just follow the honour code, and don't treat these outfits as multiple duplicate goats.
Q: May I upload my goat to Toyhou.se?
Yes! As long as these are credited properly back to this thread, you may use them for whatever you like - as characters, OC designs, for RP, or uploading to Toyhou.se.
Q: I sent my order in, but haven't received a reply before rollover/my attendant went offline! Will this use up my slots for today as well?
We keep track of orders based on when they were sent in, not when they were filled - don't worry, your attendant probably had to step away for a bit!
You'll still be eligible to get two more new goats for each day, even if you're still waiting on yesterday's goats. If an order is still not filled after 24 hrs, please PM @

Q: What are Goat Codes, and what are they used for?
Goat Codes are an
optional line of text attached to each goat that helps attendants recreate them in the Salon. They normally come with the goat upon creation, although if you have a goat without a Goat Code, feel free to send a PM to @
Demetre to get a code for them.
If you do have them,
please include them in with any Salon orders you do, especially if you're sending in multiple goats. This helps lighten attendants' workload, and gets you your orders more accurately!
Q: Why can’t I layer apparel that are in the same slot?
A: We use a program to allow more attendants, but that means that the program comes with pre-made slots that can't be modified!
Sorry for the inconvenience, but in order to have a larger attendant team to get the goats to you at most times of the day,
it's not a possibility to layer apparel together.
Q: Why can’t I get previews of apparel before I pay to change my goat?
A: Creating a preview is functionally no different from creating a salon order, and thus offering previews would dramatically increase the workload on our attendants, who are already a little overwhelmed.
We also have no way of ensuring that previews are not misused, and so it makes the most sense to simply dis-allow them. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Q: Will anything be retired? How do seasonal items work?
A: Seasonal items will
return each year around the same opening that they were originally introduced. While we can't commit to opening at exactly the same week, we will put the seasonal items in the opening closest to their original date!
As for retiring items, in general we aim to
not have any retired items! However, there are some apparel items or color combos that are 'retired' due to issues with the initial design. Any goats with phased-out apparel items cannot be modified in the Salon without removing the phased-out apparel items. Attendants will confirm with you before removing phased-out apparel items.
Q: Why do only seasonal bases and patterns get to be purchased?
A: Earth goats is fundamentally
an RNG adopt, not a custom YCH shop. The seasonal bases and patterns are purchasable to avoid frustration on the customer end, since they are around for a limited time.
Q: Can I resell my goats to others? What about trading them or gifting them?
A: Goats can only be traded for other goats, not for items or currency! There is a
Goat Chatter and Trade Hub that you're welcome to go check out! However, keep in mind that we aren't tracking who owns which goats, and we can't pull up a list of all goats under a specific username. You're also welcome to gift already purchased goats to others.
If you'd like to gift a goat order to someone (have an attendant send the goat to the giftee instead of the person who sent in the money), that is also allowed, but will use up a goat order for that day on both participants in the exchange.
Q: My goat image was corrupted/I can't access it any more/I misplaced my large version image! What do I do?

Demetre with all the details around your order! We don't track every goat that we create and can't pull up a list of all goats under a specific username, so while we can't guarantee that it can be recovered, we'll do our best to help you get it back.
Q: My goat seems to have an illegal color combination between base and pattern, and I'd like to get it fixed! What can I do?

Demetre with all the details around your goat! If it was a goat that you rolled, they'll be able to fix it for you. If you traded/were gifted the goat, the process may be more complicated, as they'll need an OK from the original owner of the goat as well.
Q: My goat looks a little desaturated/washed out! How did this happen and how can I get this fixed?
This can happen sometimes due to our different attendants' computer settings! Send a PM to @
Demetre with the goat, and they'll get it fixed for you!
