For now, I'm going to remove the ampersand just in case that's confusing her somehow, since this particular question seems to have no answer more commonly than others do. I can't promise this will correct it, as programming is not my area of expertise. However, the ampersand not playing nice is my guess and I'll bring it up with our engineers.
