Welcome back, everyone! Here's your reminder ping - tomorrow, December 14th, is a Lore Whining Day!

Ah, winter~ The solstice is still a few days away, but it feels like the winter spirit has been settling in around everything lately anyway - which is nice not only for the cooler weather, but I'm also finding it to be oddly beneficial for lore shenanigans. I picked up this lil Coatl child a couple days ago on impulse and was immediately smacked in the face with a bunch of lore concepts, haha. He's already got a couple tidbits in his bio, but I've started plotting some little story scenes and things that I'm super excited to write for!

Personal goals for the day: write for Ryusenka and hopefully set him up with the start of a custom bio layout! If I get the chance I also still need to code Hitsugaya's bio too since I didn't get around to doing it previously, bah. (But hey, what better time to make ice themes than amid winter weather?)

Ryusenka is a precious boy ;0; His lore sounds interesting so far, too! I haven't managed to stick to the whole coloring thing when it comes to Coatls, so the idea that even his parents noped the heck out of there sounds interesting :) Looking forward to hearing how his lore develops!

Lately I've been writing every night for a random fanfiction idea I got, I don't see myself publishing it anywhere but I've been having fun writing it! If not that, then... Well, we'll just see what I get myself into and I'll post about it if I do get around to writing!

unfortunately, i'm sick...but fortunately, that gives me so many extra hours to spend on lore!! :D

plans/goals for today: clean up bios & tie all the details together, give bios to dragons who need them (like this strange boy i picked up), write an ACTUAL DECENT ENDING to this lore thing i wanna post on my tumblr, plan the upcoming lore arc better because it is a Huge Mess right now, etc...

@SilverFoxDemon - Thanks! :D Yeah I haven't played with Coatl lore much in general (I'm still ignoring the whole humming/hearing thing with all of mine lmao) but I did think it might be fun to explore that superstition a bit with him. Helps give more of an explanation for why his parents might have abandoned him and it works well with a few other ideas I've got. Also helps ground him a bit more in Sornieth as opposed to the weirdness that is Byzmara because I tend to just kinda... flip canon the bird with my lore hahaha

Also yesss fanfic good stuff. Been working on a long-time WIP fic myself lately, got some fresh ideas for it that have me super pumped up. Having fun writing is the best~

I think if anything when it comes to Coatls and me writing about them, the humming is more habitual than an actual means of communication? Like, in the middle of a conversation they hum more (like a person might do when thinking) than a normal dragon, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything--more like a thing they do without paying attention. I'd definitely love to explore the opportunity hidden behind dull-colored Coatls, maybe I'll hunt down a pretty babe on AH and start working on something like that!
I try to stay in Sornieth when it comes to my dragons, but I don't always follow the canon lore to the T. I try, though, I swear xD

Yessss. This is actually my second attempt at writing fanfiction (the first was a total bust and I never completed it) and I've actually got a potential sequel already planned? If I ever publish the one I'm working on though, it'd have to be rewritten completely :')
