All right, so I've been encouraged by my trauma counselor not to shy away from sharing my story. Last month (July 9th), I was in a catastrophic car accident—I swerved around something in the middle of the interstate (something that I can no longer remember now thanks to a lovely little quirk of the brain called traumatic amnesia, which doesn't stop people from accusing me of making it up but never mind), lost control of my truck, fishtailed, went up onto the embankment, and flipped three entire times. I came back down onto the wheels, but facing in the opposite direction—the truck had spun on its roof at some point while it was upside-down.

My dog, a German shepherd named Jade, was in the car with me. I had about half a second in which I realized we were going to crash, although I had no idea of the extent of the damage: I thought I'd maybe smash in the front fender, but we'd both ultimately be okay. Instead, Jade saved my life—the officer who was first on the scene (someone driving behind me panicked and called 911, bless them) said that if I hadn't assessed the situation in that half-second and flung myself to the side to try to brace Jade, the way the top of the truck collapsed downward would have driven the windshield through my throat with enough force to decapitate me.

Unfortunately, Jade died in the crash, and I still blame myself for it. I walked away with half a dozen stitches over my right eye and a pin surgically inserted into the tip of my left ring finger, as well as a concussion that continues to affect my memory, both formation and recall. Due to the irritability that I've since learned is "perfectly normal" in cases of concussions, my best friend literally hasn't spoken a word to me in over a month. I've been diagnosed by the aforementioned trauma counselor with severe PTSD, and while I've begun driving again, sometimes I have such bad flashbacks that I have to pull over, lean out the driver's-side door, and throw up, because the interior of my (new) car will smell like blood and broken glass and—no other way to explain it—death.

I'm improving, but it's been a difficult road. The point of all this, of course, is that I'm wanting to throw myself into as many writing- and roleplay-oriented projects and games as possible, but I'm finding it difficult to actually ferret out any that aren't already either full up, or still intriguing to me. I've considered starting up a literate and very rp-oriented take on the Werewolf version of Mafia, since... well, while there's a ton of Mafia games, I'm finding, there aren't so many werewolves, and I love me some werewolves. But now I digress.

Speaking now as the player Kattata, I must admit that I immediately saw astounding potentialities for in-character play in the sheer depth of the lore and the social intricacies detailed in the individual breed encyclopedia pages.
Because I roleplay (and have been since 1998), write fanfiction,
and write original fiction as a hobby, I've become very excited about the prospect of making my dragons into "real" characters—so they
all will eventually have in-character bios in their descriptions.
There will also be periodic ic/ooc tags around, as seen above;
these denote, of course, what is in-character and what is
out of character, because I RP old-skoo'. :B



If you'd like to roleplay with me, just send me a message—
I swear that I don't bite! ;)

At the moment, I'm only interested in RPing dragons in Sornieth (so no human characters, or morphs, or whatever you crazy kids are calling that sort of thing these days), and I'm not interested in romance
for the sake of romance, although romance that happens incidentally to an overarching plot is A-OK and in fact rather desirable (it'd be nice
to be able to put in my dragons' bios that they're mated!).

Other than that, I have next to no preferences! :D





I MAY at some point offer my writing services to aspiring or busy roleplayers, to provide their dragons with character bios.
When I do, I'll be sure to post about it both on the forums and here on my clan page, so if you like my writing style or are interested in
such a service, keep your eyes peeled!
