A cold wind blows through the town. Leaves are picked up off the ground and dance through the air as they’re carried along. The old auditorium, which had long sat quiet and unused, bursts to life, music pouring out into the town.
All throughout the town, paper flyers appear on lamp posts and telephone poles. One flies off before it can be attached properly to it’s pole. The wind carries it along until it runs into a person, blocking it’s path. Dropping the flyer, the wind continues onward.

“Hello and welcome everyone!” An overly cheerful human bounded onto the stage, waving out to the audience gathered before them. “I’m M and I’m gonna be in charge of this little competition!”
Applause rippled throughout the auditorium. M grinned and waited for the applause to settle down.
“Now, I know you all know that last contest had a bit of trouble. Be sure that the host was fired and we won’t let something like that happen again,” they said reassuringly. “Now, let’s meet our wondrous judges!”
Once again, applause filled the room. Three people stepped up on stage, M waving them on.
“Come on, introduce yourselves,” they encouraged.
The first rolled her eyes but did as M said. “Hello, I am Luna.” Crossing her arms, she took a step backwards, her job done for the moment.
The second bowed. “My name is Matthew and it’s an honor to be here,” he said with a smile.
The third gave a small wave. “I’m Makai.” Although her words were quiet, the speakers amplified her voice so everyone could hear.
M stepped forward after they all had finished. “Let’s hear another round of applause for our lovely judges!” The crowd complied as all three judges stepped off stage and returned to their table off to the side. Grinning, M jumped up with glee. “Now, let’s get this competition under way!”
The game has begun and Day 1 will end on 14 July at 17:00 FR time. Make sure you’ve read over and know all the rules. Don’t forget to have fun! Thank you for playing!

i gtg be lazy for a bit but i suppose i should probably start this with a question i've been wondering since i got my rolecard
Obviously, it would be a bit of a leap to share the song I was linked immediately, but judging on it's name, i feel it's possible that people of the same alignment were all linked the same song. The lyric I was given from it fits my role as well, at least to some end.
Is it possible that by analyzing the lyrics of each song we could determine the game's roles?
this question isn't addressed to anyone in particular and it's possible every person has a different song, but I believe it's something worthwhile to think about.

Yeah, my song seemed to fit my role really well. I’d guess the maf got similar songs that somehow fit their roles as well.

I don’t really think we should share them at this point just in case some people do have songs that give a lot away, but I wouldn’t be opposed to sharing them eventually.
I guess we should also do intro questions? maybe name, pronouns, time zone, how we feel about d1 lynches, etc. That’s generally a good way to start.
